1.  Medical specialties have increasingly been accepting Nurse Practitioners (NPs) into their membership. For example Marion & Polk Medical Society and COIPA in Bend include providers: MD, DO, PA, NP, & DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine). We added Physician Assistants to COMS Membership last year, and also added a position on the COMS Executive Committee for them.
