PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Professor, Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and 4-H Youth Development, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, 2000 - present. Graduate coordinator, chair graduate admissions committee. Supervise student teachers and serve on Resident Teacher Committees. Teach undergraduate courses in leadership education and teacher education; graduate courses in philosophy of education and teaching methods. Member of teacher education, agricultural leadership, and distance education workgroups.

Associate Professor, Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and 4-H Youth Development, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, 1994 - 2000. Coordinated the Resident Teacher Program (entry-year teacher program), served on Resident Teacher Committees, supervised student teachers, and interns. Taught undergraduate courses in experiential learning and leadership development; and graduate coursework in multimedia applications, history and philosophy of agricultural education, and advanced teaching methods.

Vocational Agriculture Instructor and FFA Adviser at Byron High School. Developed and supervised 60-acre school land and livestock lab. Implemented new coursework in natural resources and horticulture, middle school track coach.

Intern, Administrative Division, Illinois Department of Agriculture, Springfield, Illinois, January - July 1983. Co-directed the Illinois Agricultural Youth Institute, a weeklong program for 100 high school students. The Institute focused on developing the leadership skills of future agricultural leaders.

Peer Adviser, Academic Advisement Center, Illinois State University, 1980-1982. Served as an academic advisor to students in the College of Applied Science and Technology from a centralized advisement office. One of twelve Peer Advisers who together with professional and faculty advisers, were responsible for the advisement of 20,000 undergraduate students.
