Redlands Community College (El Reno) – still an option

Stanley Burris’ Facility (Yukon) – no charge – if he has cattle at the time we can use them
Cattle Clinic: Scheduled for Sat, Aug 2, 2008, at Stanley Burris’ – how to read cattle – clinicians: Mark Anderson, Rick Huffstutlar, Nacona & Neesa Smith, and Lance West – maximum numbers of attendees: 24 – must pre-pay to attend – set deadline for prepayment – time: 7:00 – 2:00 meal afterwards with mid-morning snack – Rick help Sherry obtain cattle
Speed Clinic: Schedule for later in the fall or next spring – Clinicians: Neesa Smith and Sherry Jackson – Sherry will get with Neesa to discuss details
- Newsletter Charge: Send out a email notice that the results are available on the web page – Tammie Hall has volunteered to help the rest of the year with mailing the newsletters – it was suggested that we set up an account with Quik Print – take Kinko’s costs and see if Quik Print can compare – Rick made the motion that the newsletter will be sent out without results for the rest of the year and the show bill would be sent out in a separate mailing, Lisa seconded, motion passed – Lisa made the motion that she would mail a paper copy of the newsletter for $2.00 a copy prepaid, Rick seconded, motion passed
- Sponsorships: The initial banner made for the sponsor will be paid for by OkFQHR – if the sponsor wants changes the next year, it will be at their expense – “camera ready” copy must be supplied by the sponsor – delete the October show program – no ads in the newsletters, but mentioned – reviewed the Sponsorship Request form and made the following change: delete the “Certificate of Appreciation” out of the Platinum and Gold level verbiage – it’s not mentioned in the “Platinum” sponsor wording, but we decided that we will give a first time sponsor a jacket (one time only) – cost is approximately $60.00 ea.
- 3-Day Schedule: Trying to avoid going to 3-days due to the additional costs for us and our members - Oct 08 show – get a separate judge to judge the stakes classes on Sunday – Sherry made the comment that the judge doesn’t have to be a sanctioned judge since the classes aren’t sanctioned by the FQHR – stakes classes to be held over in the other barn – Jeff suggested we use Kyler McCommas – everyone agreed to hire Kyler to judge the stakes classes because Jeff stated that he was not going to show in the stakes classes
- Retro Pay: Lisa made the motion to pay Kent Thedford and Ann Tam an additional $100.00 for the Jun 08 show – it was voted and passed at the Apr 08 board meeting to pay Kent and Ann an additional $100 per show and Lisa wanted to retro the pay back to Apr 08, seconded by Rick, motion passed
