JOINT COMMISSION ON CHAPLAIN ACCREDTATION AND EDUCATION
ASSOCIATE TRAINER
PROGRAM
The Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education would like to take this time to welcome you to our Associate Trainer Program. We are excited that you are interested in becoming part of an elite team of instructors worldwide!
The Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education offer specialized courses for chaplains, pastors and clergy members and first responders and due to the tremendous need and request for chaplain training, the JCCAE has developed an Associate Trainer Program.
“WHAT WILL YOU BENEFIT?”
Becoming an Associate Trainer with JCCAE, will not only, allow you to train chaplains, clergy members, police officer, first responders and citizens to go out into the world with the word of God, but it will help you to financially aide your own ministry!
The JCCAE does not dictate, mandate or advise an instructor about the cost charged for the courses. It is up to the instructor how much is charged for the course, class sizes or specific details necessary to provide the training.

The position of Associate Trainers is for the serious minded person only. There are some things you must have to become a trainer:
· A desire to train
· Self motivation
· Dedication
· Knowledge
· Willing to share your knowledge and expertise
· Loyalty
Desire to Train
To become a good instructor, you first must have the desire to train. People train for many different reasons. Some train because they love to teach and others train because of money, or because of the “prestige” they believe comes with being the “instructor”. The instructor must have the right motive.
The goal of JCCAE is to have the most qualified, professional instructors in the country today and we strive to provide the best instructors.
The Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education has released its professional guidelines, standards and associated training materials for the trainer that is serious about becoming an associate trainer.
Professional Trainer
The Professional Trainer is certified through JCCAE to deliver any content area and can participate in any JCCAE Instructor Training Program.
The Trainer is the engine of a program, certifying chaplains through the training courses with JCCAE.
The instructor is proficient in all aspects of course content and may teach up to 100% of the program. The instructor has the ability to set up their own training schedule and mentor the chaplains, clergy members, police officers or citizens they train.
WHO WILL ATTEND?
The course curriculum is designed to teach chaplains, pastors, clergy members, police officers, first responders and the general public. The JCCAE will have more courses out in the coming months that will benefit everyone.
The trainer Program
The training program provides a roadmap for understanding chaplain education, programs and policies. All trainers who want to provide JCCAE training material should be familiar with the training program.
Trainers must have knowledge of the standard JCCAE courses or have equivalent experience with the educational knowledge prior to teaching a course. Our programs are not train-the-trainer programs; rather, we focus on preparing trainers to deliver professional high level of accuracy, using our content and methods.
Typical Goals of INSTRUCTOR Program Participants:
· Becoming authorized by JCCAE to train with our courses;
· Acquiring our training materials for use in their classrooms;
TRAINING MATERIAL
JCCAE trainers who acquire our training materials will pay a onetime fee for the material. JCCAE and the trainer will enter into a standard agreement associated with the use of materials.
To cut costs to the instructors, these materials will be sent to you on CD’s or in manual form. Instructors who request the material for training purposes may be provided such under special provisions and legal protections.
MATERIAL FEES
SPECIAL MEMBERS SAVINGS: There will be a “onetime” fee of $100.00 for (each) course of curriculum for (members) of Chaplain Fellowship Ministries International Inc and the catalog retail price for each course for (Non-members). Additional Curriculum
The JCCAE add new courses to our curriculum monthly. We currently have over 75 more courses that will be added. Each time we release a new course, the Associate Instructor will be contacted.
LEGAL PROTECTION
The curriculum provided to the instructor has been specifically written and “copyrighted” for the Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education.
It is against JCCAE’s policy for the associate trainers to unlawfully copy, sell, re-write or give away curriculum. In the event the instructor does not comply with the rules regarding copyrighted material, legal action may apply.
FUNDAMENTAL CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
· Each location will be maintained in a physically clean manner in accordance with JCCAE’s strict guidelines.
· Each Instructor must be equipped with what is needed for the course (before course begins).
· It is the responsibility of the instructor to oversee training materials, necessities and student needs prior to class.
Testing
· A test will be administered at the end of each class.
· Each test must be taken, graded and the grade recorded on the Report of training.
· If the student fails the test, it is at the discretion of the instructor to offer a re-take.
REPORT OF TRAINING
Each instructor will be provided with a report of training (ROT). The report of training must be filled out at the beginning of each class.
The information requested for JCCAE will be name, address, and date of birth, SS #, location and test grade. The report of training must be sent to JCCAE before certification certificates will be issued. Once the ROT is received and certificates completed, the certificates will be sent to the instructor for distribution.
EVALUATIONS
The best way to know if the materials and instructor are making a difference is to have the students evaluate the class. An instructor evaluation form should be provided and must be filled out by each student and that evaluation form (or copy) must be sent to JCCAE to be put in file.
TRAINING RECORDS
JCCAE must keep training records in case of an audit. Each packet sent to JCCAE must include the ROT and Evaluation.
In the event that the ROT has not been sent, certifications will not be issued. Anytime an Associate Trainer requests student information, JCCAE will have their training files on record.
CERTIFICATION CERTIFICATES
Each certificate issued by JCCAE is issued with a certificate number listed directly on the certificate and the signature of the President and Registrar.
Students need to be told that if the certificate is issued from any one without a certificate number and proper signature, that certificate will be considered “invalid” through JCCAE.
There is a charge of $25.00 per certificate.
DEGREE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAM
JCCAE is offering a diploma in Chaplaincy Studies for those who want to take all of the courses and has now been added to the Chaplain Fellowship Bible College and Seminary degree curriculum. For additional information about our diploma program contact JCCAE.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
The JCCAE requires a fee of $30.00 per student (per course) and $30.00 certification fee. That would be a total cost to you of $60.00 per student with the certificates, Record Keeping and handling fees.
Example ONLY! If you charge each student $160.00 per class and you have 12 students, with an income of $1920.00. JCCAE would receive $720.00 and you would profit $1200.00 for your ministry. Many Associate trainers charge much more than $259.00 per student. This is a win-win situation the ministries and the associate trainers.
Many organizations are charging much higher for the same type of courses and most of theirs are not college level nor do you receive a certification.
AUDITS
Each Associate Instructor is subject to audit every (2) years or as needed.
THE HONOR SYSTEM
The JCCAE is “God’s” ministry and he has given us the ability to provide the Associate Trainer with much needed education and training material, not only to spread God’s word, but the possibility to increase your income along the way.
Unfortunately, we are not able yet, to give materials to the Associate Trainers and the JCCAE depends upon support from all who participate and we are praying that God blesses your ministry through this, as he has blessed us.
We believe and work on God’s honor system to make all of our ministries work and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Money saving recommendations
Instead of making copies of the manual for students, keep the manual as your “training guide” and make a power-point presentation of the material and what you want to teach. Copy only the power-point to give to the students.
(Some of the manuals are large (up to 400 to 500 pages) and printing costs will be expensive). This not only cuts down the cost, but protects your material from people making copies of the actual manual and teaching it to someone else. (It keeps the instructor exclusive!)
