INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION

·  Save the completed nomination form on your desktop and include the nominee’s name in the file name.

·  The nomination form, current resume or biography with work history and dates are required and must be

submitted electronically via e-mail as Word documents.

·  Additional supporting material and letters of support should be attached as PDF files (articles and pro bono

policies can be submitted via live URL links). Video web links, CDs and DVDs will not be accepted.

·  Letters of support should be addressed to the “Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services.”

·  All attachments must be itemized in the body of the e-mail message and the size of all attachments

combined cannot exceed 10 MB. The page limit on supporting materials (not including resume) and letters of support is 15 pages.

·  E-mail all nomination materials to Kimberly Warmsley at

by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday, March 17, 2014. Please include in the subject line “2014 Pro Bono

Awards” and the nominee’s name.

·  Do not include more than one nomination per e-mail.

·  If it is a hardship to submit a nomination electronically, contact Ms. Warmsley at the e-mail address above,

or at 415-538-2176 about an alternative method for submission.

·  Nominators will receive e-mail notification acknowledging receipt of each nomination. If you do not receive

an e-mail acknowledgment within 5 business days, please contact Ms. Warmsley to confirm receipt of submission.

Please note that each nominee will receive an e-mail notification from the State Bar that she or he has been nominated for an award with copy to the nominator.

SELECTION PROCESS AND AWARDS PRESENTATION

The State Bar Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services (SCDLS) will review the nominations and submit its recommendations to the State Bar Board of Trustees in July for final approval. Decisions will be based on the criteria and factors listed in the Awards Information and Guidelines. The award will be presented on September 12, 2014 during the State Bar Annual Meeting in San Diego.
