WARNING ORDER: NO 1 (CITY OF WELLINGTON) SQUADRON POPPY DAY AND ANZAC DAY - 20 & 25 APRIL 2018

SITUATION

  1. As part of the community service aspect of NZCF training, 1SQN personnel annually assist the New Zealand Defence Force and Returned and Services Association with Poppy Day and Anzac Day.

AIM

  1. The aim of this warning order is to outline the compulsory attendance requirements, along with dates and timings.

DETAILS

  1. Poppy day – assisting RNZRSA with collection
  2. Date: Friday 20 April 2018
  3. Location: Karori
  4. Timings: TBC – usually approx. 0730 – 1000hrs
  5. Dress: No 4 GP - jerseys optional
  1. Anzac Day
  2. The Unit will be split in half between Dawn Service and Civic Service. Cadets are only required to attend one of these services but may put their names down to attend both.

  4. Date: Wednesday 25 April 2018
  5. Location: Pukeahu, National War Memorial
  6. Timings: TBC – usually approx. 0445 – 0630hrs
  7. Dress: CDT-UO No 4 GP with jerseys, Officers No 3 SD
  8. Civic Service
  9. Date: Wednesday 25 April 2018
  10. Location: Pukeahu, National War Memorial
  11. Timings: TBC – usually approx. 1030 – 1200hrs
  12. Dress: CDT – UO No 4 GP – jerseys if ordered, Officers No 3 SD

PERMISSION

  1. All Unit personnel are required to fill in the attached form OR fill in the online form, outlining their availability, NLT 1830hrs 05APR18. We understand both of these are during the school holidays and families have made plans.

TRANSPORT

  1. The unit will not be providing transport for either of these activities. Drop off and pick up are the responsibility of the individual.
