Constantin Wild presents red topaz of 32 carats

Idar-Oberstein, 22 August 2014. GEMS. TRUST. WILD. The gemstone connoisseur Constantin Wild from Idar-Oberstein is known all over the world for his exclusive stones. Visitors to this year's Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair will have the opportunity to see why: endless facets, fascinating colours and very high quality. A red topaz for example, an absolute top-class specimen of 32 carats. This pear-shaped stone from Ouro Preto measures 31 by 14 millimetres. "Many people realise that high-quality stones can be extremely rare, even quite unique. And that makes this red topaz a very special, glittering investment", says Constantin Wild.

Alongside that heavyweight, Constantin Wild's treasure chamber is filled with many other rarities – Paraiba tourmaline, canary tourmaline, imperial topaz, demantoid, fire opal or aquamarine. Also, the qualified gemmologist presents spectacular sets and arrangements of colourful gems: "My stones are especially well suited to extravagant jewellery", says Wild, who has been familiar with the market for 25 years.

High demand and more price conscious asian market

In the past years, colorful gemstones have been in high demand. Due to the broad range of colours that are trendy in fashion at the moment, buyers look out for various colours. “I could not name any specific colour because my customers’ taste is becoming more and more individual!”, says Wild.

Furhermore, Wild is noticing that the more asian customers become educated on gemstones, the more “picky” and price conscious they become. “With this increasing knowledge, they discover all the rarities and beauties that exist in the fascinating world of gemstones.”
