TOPIC: VARSITY SPARKLERS AND JV STARLETS DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS
The East View Sparklers Varsity Dance Team and the Starlets Junior Varsity Dance Team will hold their annual team tryouts on Friday, May 6th at EVHS. If you love to dance, perform and travel, we would love to see you at tryouts for the 2016-2017 East View Sparklers and Starlets Dance Teams. There will be mandatory informational meetings Today, April 26th and Wed, April 27th, at 6:30 in the EVHS Lecture Hall. You will need to attend one of these meetings.
Please bring with you to the meeting: A parent; A wallet size photograph; A pen; A copy of your report card for this year.
Also, please dress in comfortable clothes, as we will be teaching the High Kick sequence that night.

TOPIC: EAST VIEW ART STUDENTS
EVHS art students participated in the State VASE competition this past week in San Antonio Texas this past weekend.

Mikaela Simmang all received the highest ratings of 4's on their artwork and received state medals.
Mikaela Simmang painting, "Kemper" received a Gold Seal award which means her work was chosen as one of the 150 best artworks in the State of Texas and her work will travel in an exhibit across the state of Texas.
TOPIC: STUDENT COUNCIL
There is an all council work meeting today after school in room 207. All officers (new and current) and members should plan to attend.
STAAR Wars Dodgeball Tournament:Have you picked up a registration packet for your team? Do you have your team members signed up? STAAR Wars is coming! Packets are due Thursday, May 5th at 4:00 to Miss Browning in room 207. If you still need a packet, you may pick one up in room 207.

Students please remember - we will not accept pizza or any other restaurant deliveries at EVHS during school hours. To do so would violate our district agreement with SEDEXO, our food provider.
TOPIC: RUBY SLIPPER
Ladies of East View, do you want to be a part of the 2016-2017 Ruby Slipper Leadership team? The leadership team will be comprised of girls from each grade. If you are interested stop by the front office and pick up an application. We will be accepting completed application through May 6.
TOPIC: MASCOT ANNOUNCEMENT
