First Sunday: Here’s what we welcome on the First Sunday:
Real block and food Styrofoam, colored and dyes are okay
#6 plastics, such as Solo cups, coffee lids and cookie trays
Clean, reusable packing materials (air pillows, peanuts, etc; Bonnie takes to UPS)
Wine corks, the real ones
Fluorescent light bulbs
Batteries
Planting pots (the Pricketts will reuse)
Candle wax (the Pricketts will use)
Please make sure everything is CLEAN.
We accept any time (in the boxes over the coat racks):
Cell phones – can also go back to the store where purchased
Printer cartridges – the church gets cash for them or they can go back to the store where purchased
Recycling on your own: We encourage you to recycle these items on your own:
Curbside in Forest Grove: paper, metal, glass, plastics (rigid plastic containers, #1 - #7, bottles, jugs, jars, tubs); no packaging materials, even with numbers. No plastic bags, films, lids, spray tops or bottles that contained hazardous products. See the Waste Management flyer:
Film plastic to your local supermarket
Carpet padding, clean, dry re-bond polyurethane carpet pad to: Far West Fibers (503-643-9944, in Hillsboro). Rubber, felt, or rag pad is not acceptable.
Electronics (at least laptops, monitors, computer towers and TV’s; call for details):

Trash: Frozen food containers, six-pack rings (cut up), soft or crumblystyrofoam-like materials, other plastics that cannot go in the curbside bin.
