EastSide Arts & Terra Nova presentFood for Thought (an intercultural arts and community project)
Food for thought is an opportunity for artists to work interculturally with EastSide Arts and Terra Nova.
You will gain experience as an artist and we will help you to create an art work. You will also be supported to work with a community group in east Belfast.
Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the first Artist Development Weekend including;
- Evening of Friday 24th November
- 10am-6pm Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th November
*If English is not your first language don’t worry you can;
a)Fill the application form in your first language and we will translate it

FAQ
Who can apply;
1)Emerging artists whose skills lie in performance, writing or the visual arts
What does the opportunity include;
- A chance to explore your work from an intercultural perspective
- Two Artist Development Weekends
- One day training in facilitation and production skills
- Placement with a community group for three paid workshops to support your artwork
- Support in creating a new artwork which will be showcased in February 2018
Applicants must;
- Be available for the first Artist Development Weekend on 24th – 26th November 2017
- Be available for a Saturday training day in December (date TBC)
- Be available for a second Artist Development weekend on 2nd – 4th February
- Be available for the full day of the final performance on Friday 9th February
- Be willing to devise a new art work around the theme of food based on the workshops with their community participants.
