Putney Selectboard Minutes

The Putney Selectboard convened the meeting at 9:30 AM, Monday, August 9, 2004, Putney Pool

Selectboard Members Present: Regina A. Rockefeller & Lyssa Papazian

Selectboard Members Absent: John Nopper

Others Present: Steve Ingram, Greg Whitman, CIFCO

The Chair, Regina Rockefeller called the meeting to order at 9:30AM.

Lyssa Papazian made a motion, which was seconded, that the Selectboard enter into

Executive Session under 1 VSA 313(a)(3) to discuss a contract issue inviting Steve Ingram

and Greg Whitman into the session. The vote in favor was unanimous; the motion carried.

The Selectboard came out of Executive Session at 10:30 AM.

No action taken.

The Selectboard will adjourn at 10:31AM and meeting at 2:00 PM this afternoon at the Town Hall.

The Chair Regina Rockefeller called the meeting to order at 2:00 PM.

John Nopper made a motion, which was seconded, that the Selectboard enter into Executive Session under 1 VSA 313(a)(3) to discuss a personnel matter. The vote in favor was unanimous; the motion carried.

At 3:00 PM, the Selectboard invited Anita Coomes, Tom Goddard, Tom Guerino, Larry Hyde and

and Mary Jones into the session. At 4:00 PM, Tom Guerino left the session and the Selectboard

invited Edward MacDonald and Barbara Taylor to join the session. Anita Coomes, Tom Goddard,

Larry Hyde, Mary Jones, Edward MacDonald and Barbara Taylor left the session at 5:30 PM.

The Selectboard adjourned to the Putney Diner, came out of Executive Session at 6:45 PM.

No action taken.

Public Hearing on Dog Ordinance matter.

The Chair, Regina Rockefeller called the public hearing to order at 7:05 PM. All Board members were present, Regina Rockefeller, John Nopper and Lyssa Papazian. Other people present were Jerry & Susan Howes and Larry Hyde.

Discussion of a recent dog bite suffered by the Howe’s daughter, their filing of a complaint under Town Animal Control Ordinance, and positive interactions they have had with the dog’s owner, Dan Vaine.

Lyssa Papazian made a motion, which was seconded, to sign an order finding that the dog in question is a public nuisance and must be humanely destroyed. The vote in favor was unanimous; the motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
