As Greg scrambles to find a date, he's worried he'll be left out in the cold on the big night. His best friend, Rowley, doesn't have any prospects either, but that's small consolation. An unexpected twist gives Greg a partner for the dance and leaves Rowley the odd man out. But a lot can happen in one night, and in the end, you never know who's going to be lucky in love...

In the latest hilarious film adventure featuring eponymous hero Greg Heffley, school is out and Greg and his un-cool best friend Rowley Jefferson are

looking forward to their summer vacation. However Greg soon begins to realise what he wants to do and what his father wants him to do over the summer are very different things. Following a ban on video games, a trip to the local country club with Rowley and his parents soon ensures Greg’s summer takes an interesting turn and another plan is hatched - although in traditional Wimpy Kid style, his plan doesn’t exactly go smoothly!
