- Unused funds that were allocated previously and now placed back in unrestricted funds:
-$1010.00 from the Card fundraiser
-$77.17 from Bingo night
-$497.00 from pizza lunches
-$863.63 from Christmas craft night
-$453.00 from ‘artists in the school’
-$232.00 funds generated from school – these funds belong to the school’s account and have been returned already
-with these funds now have $3275.56 in unrestricted

Appointment of 2017/18 Council Members
-review of new members
-13 forms received – 13 members so no elections needed – plus can have 2 more members in the Community Rep. and Parish Rep roles
-have to have quorum at meetings in order to make decisions – half the members plus one – therefore need 8 at meetings
-anyone is welcome to attend meetings
-teaching rep and non-teaching rep also get a vote – principal and vice-principal do not vote
Appointment of Council Executive and Special Roles
-description of each role read

- Secretary: M. Pacek (L. Gallo as back-up)
- Treasurer: L. Girimonte

Pizza Fundraiser
-discussion around on-line payments and how they will work for pizza lunches
-will do a 12 week block
-maybe give a little bit longer window to sign up for pizza lunches to give parents more time to register for school cash on-line
-will we put school cash on-line or cheque options on form?
Events
-Halloween Dance A Thon to be held on Halloween
-Sandra (lead), Annie, Lisa, Mara, Luana, Leanna, Lina to help organize
-template for letter to be located
-A. D’Agostino to find out if we can use school cash on-line for donations

Other ideas:
-outdoor movie possibility?
-looking at having a girls night in for Grade 7 and 8 girls –November 5 possible date
-what can we do to get the older students to come out to events? – maybe ask them – are we looking at something for older students or older students with their families? – maybe set up a committee to look into options: Sandra I., Kerry, Joanne, Sandra G., Marcella
Fundraising
-Looking to continue with Card fundraiser – suggest doing it earlier in the year and possibly offering birthday cards and assorted cards
-Was a lot of work last year
-If we do both options, do we have to send home samples of both – would be too hard to follow up on – wouldn’t send home samples at all because most people know what they look like now – can have a sample in the office if anyone wants to see it

School Update
-May 15-18, 2018 – Grade 8 trip
-tentative date for info night is November 7, 2017
-Grade 7’s – looking at similar trip to the one 2 years ago, but costs are significantly higher – had booked May 3-4, 2018 but not sure if it will be happening
Goal forms were distributed to Council members – send back to office the week before our next meeting (October 26) – will be discussed at our next meeting – address envelopes to Mrs. D’Agostino
