2016 Grand Toyota Salmon Festival Schedule of Events

The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor is pleased to announce the schedule of events, performers and on-sale information for the 2016 Grand Toyota Salmon Festival.

Thursday, July 14th is the opening Salmon dinner at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium. Grand Falls-Windsor’s own celebrity Chef Roger Andrews, winner of Chopped Canada will be presenting a 5 course meal. The event will be hosted by actor and comedian, Shawn Majumder who is best known for his role on This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Dance to follow with music provided by Young at Heart. Tickets are available at the Town Hall, the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium and online for $60 each (includes HST).

Next up is the Friday Night Dance on July 15th, at the Joe Byrne Stadium. This dance will feature Garth Brooks and Shania Twin Tribute Band with special guests Black Top. Ticket prices are $15 in advance and $20 at the door (includes HST).

The main Concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 16th, on Centennial Field beginning at 2pm. The event will feature: Landlocked, Cabbages & Kings, The Once, Buddy Wasisname & the Other Fellers,

Stampeders and Trooper.

Early bird tickets are on sale now and available till July 1st, at $49.50, tickets purchased after July 1st will be $69.50 (includes HST).

Sunday, July 17th is the Concert in the Park. To be held at Church Road Park starting at 2:00pm featuring: Charlotte Murphy, The Rivermen and Cabbages and Kings.

Monday, July 18th is Grand Falls-Windsor Day. Celebrations will be held at Centennial Field starting at 1pm. The event features the Juno Award (2016) winning group for children’s album of the year, The Swinging Belles. Also appearing will be: Cookie the Clown, The Wonderbolt Circus, Clever,

The Lesley Oake School of Dance, Landlocked and fireworks at dusk.

“This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor. We are very excited about this year’s festival with lots of positive vibes around the community. There is something for everyone and we are very happy to bring it back to its roots.
