Wells Fargo Supportsthe Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity

Burnsville, N.C. – September 25, 2013–Wells Fargo, through its Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, will provide $15,000 and volunteer support to helpthe Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity.

A check presentation will take place on Thursday, September 26, at 5:30 p.m., during a Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Wells Fargo store located at 109 Town Square in Burnsville.

Wells Fargo team members will also loggedmore than 60 volunteer hours on a Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity build on Saturday, September 7, at the 46 Long View Street project.

“It’s rewarding for our Wells Fargo team to work withthe Mitchell-YanceyHabitat for Humanityand further the dream of homeownership for deserving families,” saidRomaeZamsky,store manager for Wells Fargo in Burnsville.“Working together, we can create safe, decent housing; increase the number of homeowners in Burnsville, and strengthen our community.”

The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation was created to provide permanent solutions to homeownership needs in Wells Fargo communities nationwide. The Housing Foundation achieves its goals primarily through team member volunteerism and grant support to nonprofit housing organizations that share its mission. When Wells Fargo team members volunteer to build or renovate a home for a low-income family, the Housing Foundation's Team Member Volunteer Program provides the financial support. Awards are given to the local nonprofit housing partners and range up to $35,000.

Since it was established in 1993, the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation has teamed up with nonprofit organizations, including the Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity, to create low income homeownership opportunities. During that time, the Housing Foundation has contributed more than $50 million in grants, more than 175,000 volunteers and more than 4.5 million volunteer hours, in building more than 4,400 homes.
