·  The chance to get physically active after my operation

·  The qualified staff who help maintain performance and progress

·  Aqua aerobics made me feel so much fitter

Negatives:

·  There were not enough classes for me to attend and the times of the gym sessions were mainly in the day and were quite restrictive. I had to leave the programme because of this.

·  Liked all of it but dislike having to pay when you are not working and poorly, as this is difficult to do

·  The exercise is great but the music is too modern for oldies like me (77 years old)

·  I would have liked to have just received a time and day to go and meet rather than having someone ring me

·  I did not want to attend a gym and was given only 2 machines to use and the rest I could do at home. Would have preferred closed referral sessions. I wanted to try t’ai chi instead but need to be more mobile. Didn’t feel the gym helped me, so I withdrew from the scheme.

·  I started getting paranoid about people looking at me

·  Gym is a bit too busy

General comments:

Positive:

·  I hope that the keep fit in Sileby will continue despite low numbers as I enjoy it very much

·  I have met up with old friends again

Negative:

·  Would like reduced prices for swimming 2-3 times a week. Having finished the scheme, I can now only afford to go to the centre for swimming at a reduced rate.

·  I would like to be able to carry on for a lot longer on the scheme than it allows

·  I would like to use the sessions more often – 2 times or more a week, but find it costly at £2.90 per session

·  I couldn’t do the scheme with you as the days and times you were offering were unsuitable for me

·  I was told by my GP that referrals were free of charge

·  It would be beneficial to continue and do more, but it would just cost too much

·  Cost of attending the gym is prohibitive for me when I left the scheme. Keep the cost sessions low and make them lower please. People on low incomes or with health problems and on benefits will struggle with the price

·  I was unable to join the scheme as it clashed with things I also need to do, even though I am retired

Other comments

·  Would like to do a monthly DD for this scheme if you had one

·  You should consider providing coaching for basketball, volleyball etc. for the over 50s

·  Can we have a gym circuit class please

·  The staff were friendly when I saw them, but they didn’t appear to be always there
