TSWBAT: / The students will be able to keep a steady beat while reading animal names with 80% accuracy as observed by teacher listening.
Students will be able to discover beat divisions using animal names while maintaining a steady beat with 70% accuracy as observed by teacher observation and listening.
Students will be able to imitate beat subdivisions while keeping a steady beat with 70% accuracy as observed by teacher observation and listening

Sequence of Activities / Who remembers the story of Noah and the Ark?
Can you help me make a list of some of the animals that were on the ark?
(Make a list of animals in 4 rows and 4 columns first column will be 1 syllable words, second column 2 syllables…and so on, the animal names will be used to discover beat divisions)
Ok boys and girls stand up and repeat after me, (read first line of animal names in rhythm then second line)
