CHANTICLEER SWIM CLUB
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all individuals. These rules have been established to assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and to obey the instructions of the pool manager and other employees. Any failure to comply with these rules shall be considered sufficient cause for cancellation of membership.

- All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The club will not be responsible for any accidents or injury in
connection with such use.
3. POOL ADMITTANCE
- Children under the age of 10 will not be permitted to enter the pool grounds without supervision. Supervision to mean any person who is 13 years of age or older.
- Any child ages: 10, 11, or 12, who is left without supervision, must pass a competency test pre-determined by pool manager and approved by the board to be eligible to enter the pool grounds without supervision, provided that a medical form is on file.
- Parents are responsible for supervision of children who are non-swimmers at the kiddie pool and in all other parts of the pool area. This is not the responsibility of the manager or the life guards.
- All children not toilet trained MUST wear a swim diaper while in either of the pools. This is for safety and sanitation. If an accident should occur please notify the Manager immediately so proper action can be taken.
- In order to preserve unobstructed access to all areas of the pool, chairs are not permitted along the pool’s edge.
- NO GLASS containers of any kind are allowed in the pool area or on the lawn.
- No running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, or causing undue disturbance will be permitted in or about the pool area.
- No pets are allowed within the pool area.
- Admission will be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections, or wearing bandages.
- Expectorating or blowing of nose is prohibited.
- The club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
- The cost of any damage to pool property will be charged to the member responsible.
- No abusive language will be tolerated.
- Members and guests shall drive slowly and carefully on the driveway and parking areas. No tire spinning. No horn blowing.
- Balls or floating equipment will not be permitted, except in the kiddie pool or during holiday activities or special events.
- The kiddie pool is restricted for use by children five (5) years or less.
- Climbing on the top of the kiddie pool whale and/or covering or redirecting the fountain’s stream is not permitted.
- SPRING BOARD RULES
- FORWARD APPROACHES ONLY
- FEET FIRST ENTRY ONLY – EXIT THE POOL AT ONE OF THE LADDERS
- Only one person at a time will be allowed on the board.
- Each jumper is responsible for the area under the board, and will not jump until he/she is sure the area is clear.
- Swimming directly under the board is prohibited.
- ONLY ONE BOUNCE is permitted in using the spring board.
- Children age four and under are not permitted to use the spring board.
- “Catching” children from the spring board is prohibited.
- No diving from the sides of the pool, deep or shallow ends.
- GUESTS
- Gate attendant will take the member's name and those family members swimming each day on a DAILY SIGN IN sheet.
- Guests will be signed in by MEMBER on the GUEST CARD with name, address, and classification. Gate attendant will record all guests in a guest book.
- Local guests will be limited to a total of FIVE (5) per month and will be charged at a rate of $3.00 per guest, adult or child. Members exceeding the five (5) local quota will be charged $5.00 per guest, adult or child.
- An exception to the above rule 18C will be made to members desiring to bring baseball teams, birthday parties, church groups, etc. to the pool during normal pool hours. Members must check with the pool manager for availability of space and are to be at the gate upon entry of the group. On the date of the function, the member must s supply the names of all guests (please use the forms provided by the manager) and pay the local guest rate of $3.00 per guest to the pool manager. (These do not count against the monthly local quota). These functions should not disturb the members using the pool. There is to be no loud music, or DJ's.
- Local guests will be determined by their zip codes and shall include the following zip codes: 15001, 15003, 15108, 15046, 15081, 15056, and 15143.
- No person may be a local guest at the pool more than TWICE a month.
- Guests living in areas other than the above stated local zip code areas shall be considered out of town guests and WILL NOT be limited to twice a month. The fee for out of town guests will be $3.00 per guest, adult or child.
- Adult guests may be entertained at evening parties without regard to local guest rule.
- A member, who is a long-term baby-sitter, that brings a nonmember child to the pool, will be subject to the standard guest fees and visitation limits for each child. A nonmember, long-term baby-sitter, who accompanies a member child to the pool, will be subject to a $3.00 fee per visit, with an unlimited number of visits. This fee is to be paid by the member. In all long-term baby-sitting situations, the pool manager must be notified of the circumstances in writing. Or you can use Add A Sitter to your membership for $50. - ADULT SWIMS
Adult swims will be called every quarter hour for swimmers 18 years of age and over, or, for high school graduates,
whichever comes first.
- The pool manager is required to enforce these rules and regulations and is permitted to restrict any member or guest of the pool for any infraction of these rules.
