Vehicle Registration Form

In order to park on Anderson County High School property, you must complete the registration form attached below and have the following items when purchasing a parking permit: valid driver’s licenseand $10.

The following rules must be followed to park on school grounds:

1.All students with a valid driver's license have the privilege to operate vehicles on school property, but are subject to ACHS regulations. A $10.00 yearly parking fee is required to park a vehicle on campus; students must complete the proper vehicle registration and display appropriate parking permit at all times.

2.Students must park in their designated student parking lot [Lots A or C], but may not park vehicles in designated faculty/staff parking spots or on Lots B and D and must display a valid parking permit. Failure to park properly may result in disciplinary action and/or ticket.

3.Only students who are enrolled in co-op may park in the co-op lot [LotC in front of East Wing driveway].

4.Any student who loses parking privileges will not be allowed to drive/and or park on school property. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.

5.Vehicle speed should not exceed 15 mph [this is a state law].

6.Any student reported to the office for speeding, driving in a reckless or careless manner, or infraction of other established policies is subject to suspension and/or loss of driving privileges temporarily or for the remainder of the school year.

7.Students must immediately leave their vehicles and enter the building upon arrival.

8.Once students drive their vehicles onto school property, they are at school. Students cannot leave without permission of anadministrator [this includes early morning arrival]. Students who ignore this regulation will be subject to suspension; in addition, students may lose driving privileges.

9.If students must return to their car for a valid reason during the school day, they must first obtain permission from anadministrator.

10.Students who drive vehicles to school and park them on school property, do so with the understanding that a search of the vehicle can be made by Anderson County administration at any time.

11.Students driving vehicles on campus must at all times give school buses the right-of-way.

12.Driving through the grass or on sidewalks is considered reckless driving and destruction of school property, resulting in suspension and/or loss of driving privileges.

13.Smoking in the student parking lot either before or after school is prohibited.

14.Students exiting school grounds onto Broadway or Highway 127 are required to make right turns only.
