Which 1st Aid Certificate do you hold and when is it due for renewal?

With reference to the list below, please give information of how your experience to date fits with the requirements for Cambium OL trainers. This will help us to build a bespoke programme that addresses your training needs.

The required standard for Cambium to approve trainers is set out below:-

  • Recognised Level 3 FS qualification – Please give details of where and when you gained your FS L3 – if you do not have L3 FS training, please give details of your OL Leader experience / qualifications.
  • Experience of running Outdoor Learning programmes
  • Experience of teaching / training adults (16 years +) including any experience of FS / OL training that you may have.
  • Recognised Qualification / Award for teaching adults

Please note that you / your organisation will need to hold Public Liability Insurance for a minimum of £5000,000 and provide a copy of this to our office before we start working together to provide training in your area

Signing the form below will indicate that you understand that:

The total fee of £750 + VAT is payable before the start of the course.

If your application is successful, a deposit of £100 + VAT will be needed to secure your place on the course.

Terms and Conditions

1. The course deposit / registration fee paid at the time of booking the course is non-returnable.

2. Cambium reserves the right to not accept an application or require the applicant to attend an interview prior to being considered for acceptance on the course. Any costs incurred in doing so will be entirely at the applicants own cost.

3. By signing this booking form (by electronic means or by hand) and returning it to us you agree that should you cancel your course, fees will be charged as follows:

  • Cancellation more than 30 working days from the course start date = deposit / registration fee for the course. Your registration with us will stay open for 12 months and if you book to attend another course within that time we will deduct this fee from the total owed.
  • Cancellation less than 30 working days from the course start date = £400 + VAT
  • Cancellation less than 15 working days from the course start date = full course cost
  • Notice of cancellation must be received by e mail and arrive not later than 6pm on any working day (Monday – Friday).

4. All fees owed to us are subject to interest being charged if not paid within 14 days of invoice date.

5. Please note: You are expected to complete your course work within the time period set out by your tutor – you will be given a time table for your course prior to the course commencement date. You must complete all elements of your course within 12 months of the start date.

6. Cancellation by Cambium: In extenuating circumstances, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel a course / course elements. Students affected by cancellations will be offered alternative dates / courses to attend.

7. Whilst on the L4 FS trainer course you are working as if an employee of Cambium and will therefore uphold the standards required by the training manager and do your best to play a part as a professional and responsible member of the Cambium training team.

8. Signing the agreement below will confirm that you understand that all elements of the Licensing training course / mentoring arrangements are carried out at your own expense and no fees or costs are payable from Cambium for any shadowing / assistance / leadership of courses carried out by you.

9. By applying for this course with Cambium you are also agreeing that the first L1 or L2 course run in association with Cambium will be invoiced by that body and no fee will be payable to you or your organisation. Following completion of your course, the first four L1 or L2 courses are run using Cambium for registration / certification and Internal Verification with the appropriate registration fees being paid for these services.
