ParticipationofVeteranInitiativeandHudsonInitiativesmallentrepreneurshipswillbescoredas partofthetechnicalevaluation.
TheStateofLouisianaVeteranandHudsonInitiativesaredesignedtoprovideadditionalopportunities forLouisiana-basedsmallentrepreneurships (sometimesreferredtoasLaVet'sandSE'srespectively)to participateincontractingandprocurementwiththestate. AcertifiedVeteran-OwnedandService- ConnectedDisabledVeteran-Ownedsmallentrepreneurship(LaVet)andaLouisianaInitiativeforSmall Entrepreneurships(HudsonInitiative)smallentrepreneurshiparebusinessesthathavebeencertifiedby theLouisianaDepartmentofEconomicDevelopment. Alleligiblevendorsareencouragedtobecome certified. Qualification requirements and online certification are available at
Tenpercent(10%)of thetotalevaluationpointsonthisRFParereservedforproposerswhoare themselvesacertifiedVeteranorHudsonInitiativesmallentrepreneurshiporwhowillengagethe participation of one or more certified Veteran or Hudson Initiatives small entrepreneurships as subcontractors.
Reservedpointsshallbeaddedtotheapplicableproposers’evaluationscoreasfollows:

- Proposerisacertifiedsmallentrepreneurship:Fullamountofthereservedpoints
- Proposerisnotacertifiedsmallentrepreneurshipbuthasengagedoneormorecertified smallentrepreneurshipstoparticipateassubcontractorsordistributors. Pointswillbeallocatedbased onthefollowingcriteria:
- thenumberofcertifiedsmallentrepreneurshipstobeutilized
- theexperienceandqualificationsofthecertifiedsmallentrepreneurship(s)
- theanticipatedearningstoaccruetothecertifiedsmallentrepreneurship(s)
Ifaproposerisnotacertified smallentrepreneurshipasdescribedherein,butplanstousecertified small entrepreneurship(s),proposershall includeintheirproposalthenamesoftheir certifiedVeteranInitiative orHudsonInitiativesmallentrepreneurshipsubcontractor(s),adescriptionofthe workeachwill perform, andthedollarvalueofeachsubcontract.
Duringthetermofthecontractandatexpiration,theContractorwillalsoberequiredtoreportVeteran- OwnedandService-ConnectedDisabledVeteran-OwnedandHudsonInitiativesmallentrepreneurship subcontractorordistributorparticipationandthedollaramountofeach.
