- Why isn’t my graduate award appearing on my bill?
- It could be that we have not received the Graduate Nomination Form from your academic department. You can follow-up with your academic department.
- Why isn’t my private loan appearing on my bill?
- It generally takes 7 – 10 business days to process a loan certification.
- There are times that we cannot process the loan because a FAFSA is required; or, the student is not meeting the minimum enrollment requirement. The Office of Financial Aid will be in contact with such students.
- Why doesn’t my private appear as “authorized” aid on my bill?
- Once the disbursement records are received, which is generally in late August then he loan will be authorized. In the meantime, the loan will “memo” on the account which is enough for Bursar so that no late fees are charged.
- Why isn’t my grants (Pell, TAG, SEOG and federal loans) and loans on my bill?
- Your file may be incomplete; to view your outstanding requirements go to my.njit.edu.
- Your file has not undergone the verification process (generally, it takes about 30 days from when you submitted your paperwork to complete).
- You need to appeal for academic standing; go to my.njit.edu and review your record
- You may be on a course wait-list and do not meet the full-time enrollment at the moment. Once you meet the enrollment requirement, the aid will appear.
- For TAG recipient, your TAG may not appear because NJHESAA has not finalized your record; to check the status, go to hesaa.org.
- Why isn’t my scholarships renewed?
- You do not meet the scholarship criteria (gpa may not meet the standard)
- You are not registered as a full-time student (12 or more credits).
- You received the maximum number of payments.
- The funds exhausted this year (mainly for endowed and annual awards)
- Why was my Faculty scholarship reduced?
- When receiving both a TAG Grant and Faculty award, the combination of the awards can never exceed the cost of tuition. For undergraduates, the threshold is $13,602 for the 16-17 academic year.
- Why isn’t my federal loans authorized on my bill?
- You either have not completed the required promissory note or entrance loan counseling; to complete this, go to studentloans.gov
- You have not accepted your loans; to accept them go to my.njit.edu
- Your file is not complete or verified
