EAGLEHAWK COMMUNITY HOUSE KEY OBJECTIVES
· Facilitate self-help and mutual support amongst all interested members of our community
· Actively reduce social isolation within our community
· Provide assistance to persons/families with economic/special needs to access essential daily requirements
· Develop and provide a resource and information centre
· Develop recreational and social activities
· Provide opportunities for the development of basic skills for living and return to work
· Promote the advancement of our community
· Make premises available to external organisations, groups and/or individuals to further develop and support the purposes of the Association

POSITION BRIEF
· To implement programs that have already been trialled and now require some consistency of delivery
· To research the current needs of those in our community who are experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing through economic hardship, educational or language difficulties and/or physical intellectual or mental health challenges
· to create programs/events that meet the identified needs
· to apply for funding to deliver positive health and wellbeing outcomes
POSITION OBJECTIVE
· To work within a Community Development Framework
· To effectively develop and guide teams of volunteers to deliver programs/events
· To develop, implement and manage specific programs/events
· To consult with all relevant stakeholders
· To work with the Coordinator, other staff and volunteers to deliver a quality service to the community
· To ensure all people and groups accessing the Eaglehawk Community House are treated in a professional, welcoming and efficient manner
· To follow the Eaglehawk Community House policies and procedures and function within the Eaglehawk Community House philosophy of practice
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITY
Planning
· Ensure the mission, vision, purpose and philosophy of the organisation are achieved through effective planning processes
Communication
· Ensure there are effective communication channels at all levels in order to support a cohesive team based approach
· Respectful and supportive engagement of volunteers
· Active engagement with community
· Open communication with Coordinator
Services
· Ensure that services provided by ECH are of a consistently high standard
· Services are designed to take a holistic approach to participant wellbeing
· Staff behave in a caring and professional manner
· Services are conducted in a way that respects participants’ privacy and confidentiality
Financial Management
· Support the Eaglehawk Community House to maintain financial viability by working within budget allocations
· Liaise with coordinator when developing grant applications to ensure all applications align with the financial goals of the Eaglehawk Community House
Team Work & Professional Development
· Develop a multi-skilled team based on a culture of trust, loyalty and commitment
· Provide opportunities for staff and volunteer development
Information Technology & Systems
· Effective use and application of a Microsoft Office 365
· Identify ways of improving systems to maximize efficiency
· Work in accordance with ITC policies and procedures
Networking, Marketing & Promotion
· Represent the Eaglehawk Community House to all stakeholders in a professional manner
· Promote the Eaglehawk Community House whenever the opportunity arises
· Consistently reinforce the values of the Eaglehawk Community House
· Respond to feedback, positive or negative, in a proactive and respectful manner
Environment, Equipment & Resources
· Support the team effort to ensure the Eaglehawk Community House is well presented at all times
· Maintain a safe and productive working environment
· Minimise printing and encourage recycling
Risk Management Quality Improvement
· Support all team members in the implementation of risk management policy
· Report any incidents that occur to the Coordinator as soon as practicable
· Ensure accurate documentation of all programs/projects/events and research
· Identify areas for improvement and implement as approved

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
The role requires the following skills and capabilities:
1. Tertiary qualifications in Community Development or relevant discipline and/or significant experience in community development and capacity building
2. Ability to identify community needs and to plan, develop, monitor and evaluate high quality programs and activities to meet those needs;
3. A demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people, in particular, people who are experiencing disadvantage relating to economic, educational or language difficulties and/or physical intellectual or mental health challenges.
4. Highly developed interpersonal skills, incorporating verbal and written communication with excellent listening, negotiation and liaison skills;
5. A demonstrated ability to source and write successful funding submissions
6. Proven successful track record of engagement, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to facilitate broad community participation;
7. Highly developed computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, email and the Internet as a minimum.
8. Must have a car and current drivers licence
