Clarkston SCAMP is a five-week summer day camp program for youth with a variety special needs (physically, emotionally, and/or mentally challenged). For over 40 years, SCAMP has provided daily activities that include music, art, games and field trips.

It costs a minimum of $1200 per SCAMPer to attend the summer program and no child is turned away for financial need. SCAMP is a non-profit organization that depends on fundraisers held throughout the year and generous donors.

Our first big event of the year is the annual SCAMP WALK & ROLL on Sunday, May 7th. We invite you to join us as a family (family pets on a leash are also welcome) to have fun on this special day. The Walk & Roll is our oldest and largest fundraiser of the year and includes fun activities for everyone.

Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to Noonat Depot Park in downtown Clarkston. The Walk & Roll begins at Noon and drawings for prizes will be immediately after the “Dogs for a Cause” contest. We have a 1 or 2.5 mile route which will both begin and end in the park. Hot dogs, beverages and activities are free for participants.

Bring your dog along on a leash to be included in the “Dogs for a Cause” contest between 1:00 and 1:15 pm. Prizes will be awarded to the dog with the best trick, waggiest tail and dog that the judges would most like to take home!
