De thoradh saoirse, is neach morálta é an duin. Nuair a ghníomhaíonn sé d’aon turas, is ionann an duine agus athair a chuid gníomhartha. Maidir le gníomhartha an duine, is é sin, gníomhartha a roghnaíonn an duin iad a dhéanamh dá dheoin féin de thoradh breithiúnas coinsiasa, is féidir luacháil a dhéanamh ar na gníomhartha sin ó thaobh na moráltachta de. Tá siad maith nó tá siad olc.
