Mark Your Calendar- Upcoming Events
- The play “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” begins this week. Performances on May 22, 23 and 24 will be held in the auditorium from 6-8:30 pm. There will an elementary school performance on the afternoon of May 24th beginning at 12 pm.
- Wednesday, May 24th will be the “Underclassmen Awards” at 5:30 in the auditorium. This is for grades 9-10-11.
- Thursday, May 25th and Friday, May 26th will be finals for seniors.
- Tuesday, May 30th will be Mayor McDermott’s annual “College Bound” visit to Clark. The mayor will be speaking to our students at 9:30 am.
- Wednesday, May 31st and Thursday, June 1st will be finals for all 9th, 10th and 11th graders.
- Friday, June 2nd will be the Senior Awards held in the auditorium beginning at 9 a.m. Senior class picture and picnic will follow the assembly.
- Monday, June 5th at 5:30 pm we will be conducting our 8th grade promotion ceremony in the auditorium.
- Wednesday, June 7th at 10 am we will be conducting our high school graduation practiceat “ThePavilion”. Graduation will take place that night at 7 pm.
- Thursday, June 15th the SCH will be collaborating with the North Township Trustee’s office to sponsor a “School City of Hammond Job Fair” at the Wicker Park Social Center in Highland. The fair will be from 9:00-1:00 pm.

Professional Development
- Please note that there will be professional development for all secondary teachers during the summer. Please refer to the email from Mrs. Goodes dated April 25th that identifies the summer offerings. You can register through Google which will also give details of the workshops.
Kudos/Congratulations/Condolences
- Kudos to the National Honor Society and their sponsors, Mrs. Chavez-Reda and Mrs. Muratori for spearheading the “Water Donations” efforts to support our neighbors in East Chicago.
- Congratulations to Baseball Coach Mr. Ochall and his Pioneers who last week won the conference by defeating Morton.
- Kudos to Ms. Almeda and Ms. Eggers in successfully hosting a great Jr.-Sr. Prom at Meyers’ Castle. Our students looked lovely, were well behaved and had a great time.
- Kudos to the entire staff for their efforts during ECA’s – everything went off well and without any hitches.
