Dear Parents,
Your child is invited to join the GamalielElementary SchoolNational Junior BETA Club. Any 4th or 5th grade student with a “B” average (86% or higher) is eligible. We are excited about this year’s upcoming BETA activities. Please be aware that 4th grade members are associate members only. They will not officially become members until the 5th grade.
BETA members sponsor several exciting fun-raisers and activities throughout the school year.

There are several requirements for being a BETA member besides maintaining a “B” average. Members must also exhibit credible achievement, worthy character, good mentality, and commendable attitude. A student failing to exhibit the previous characteristics may be removed from the GES BETA Club. (Example – A student talking hatefully to an adult or other student at school)
Teachers are asked to keep records of these types of behaviors and report them to BETA sponsors. A student whose grade average falls below 86% will be put on academic probation. If the student’s grade does not move to an 86% by the next grading period, the student will be removed from the BETA club without refunds. The student will not be eligible for any BETA benefits.
Cally Sue Harlinwill serve as this year’s BETA Club president, having been elected last year. Other recommended BETA officers will be elected soon. These include Vice-President (4th grade members run and vote), Secretary, Treasurer, and Reporter (5th grade members run and vote.) This year’s Vice-President will be next year’s President.
BETA Club dues must be paid by August 31th. Dues are $15.00 for 5th grade and $2.00 for 4th grade. 5th grade dues cover national and local dues while 4th grade dues only cover local dues.
We have plans for our most exciting BETA Club year ever. This year’s BETA members will do and see more than any previous BETA Club in GamalielElementary School’s history. Make sure your child is a part of this amazing club.
