Sponsored Danceathon!

PTA Event - Friday 23rd October 2015

The PTA are holding a Sponsored Danceathon for the whole school to enjoy on Friday 23rdOctober 2015. Throughout the day each child will get the opportunity to learn a choreographed dance routine to "I Can't Stop Playing" by "Dr Kucho and Gregor Salto" from the "Now that's what I call music 91".

At the end of the day, everyone will come together for one enormous performance including staff, helpers and all of our children! We will be recording this amazing experience so parents can also enjoy the performance too.

Year 3 made this an exciting and successful event at the Infant School, so we are hoping they can lead the way for the Juniors!

The children will be allowed to come to school in non-school uniform wearing dance clothes. This could include leotards, T-shirts, leggings, jogging bottoms or even tutu’s!

Sponsorship money raised from this event will be shared with a charity, which is beingchosen by the children. The remaining funds, along with previously raised PTA funds, will fund the final stage of regeneration to the outside space behind the bottom playground. The Prince's Trust have already done some amazing work for us on this project and now our funds can bring about its completion. The fences will be removed, the ground levels adjusted and grasslaid, thus making this area accessible to all of our children, throughout their playtimes & lunchtimes.

Please find attached a sponsor form. If you need any additional forms, you will find a copy of it on the school's website.

We would be grateful if the completed sponsor forms, along with any monies, are returned to the PTA via the school office, no later than Friday 13thNovember. Please make any cheques payable to 'Solent Junior School PTA'.

If you would like to volunteer to help on the day, please complete the reply slip below and we will be in touch.

The dance routine itself will be on the school's website for everyone to practice at home, so we hope that everyone will, 'step in time for our playtime' and have a lot of fun, whilst raising money at the same time!

Thanking you in advance for your continued support.

I have read this statement and want the charity or Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) named above to reclaim tax on the donation detailed above, given on the date shown. I understand that I must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities and CASCs I donate to, will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year.
