Radio 2's Jeremy Vineis one of the best known and most versatile current affairs presenters on radio and television. He is an excellent corporate host, very effective at question and answer sessions, chairing debates, seminars and award ceremonies as well as presenting in-house videos.

Jeremy Vine presents ‘Panorama’ on BBC1 at 8:30pm on Monday evenings, and can now be seen presenting BBC1's ‘Points of View’ on Sundays. He combines this role with his programme on BBC Radio 2, ‘The Jeremy Vine Show’ for which he was awarded a Silver Sony Speech Broadcaster of the Year Award 2006.

Jeremy has won numerous awards for his reports; his proudest moment was when his story about police brutality in South Africa led to 22 officers being suspended.

A University of Durham graduate, Jeremy joined the BBC as a news trainee in 1987 his apprenticeship saw him work in Belfast for two years, where he was occasionally drafted in to read the morning news bulletins. He also worked with Joan Bakewell as a researcher on Heart of the Matter. In 1989 he joined BBC Radio 4's Today programme as a reporter. There his assignments included a posting to Siberia, reporting on the Mafia and from inside the Middle East.

Jeremy bided his time filling in for more high-profile presenters such as Michael Buerk and Brian Redhead before being appointed political correspondent under John Sergeant. During the 2001 election campaign he travelled the length and breadth of the UK in the Newsnight camper van encountering the likes of Jeffrey Archer, Peter Mandelson, and John Major.

On television he has taken over the ‘Swingometer’ for all BBC specials and coverage for General Elections, By-Elections, Referenda, European Elections and US Elections. A role previously held by Peter Snow who took the swingometer, one of the classic props of British political broadcasting, going from being a pendulum in the studio to a highly computerised diagnostic graphic.

His television credits include ‘Page Turners’, Jeremy Vine Meets…’ and ‘The Politics Show’, all for the BBC.

Jeremy has hosted The MCV Awards, Business Link for London Awards, The Grocer Gold Awards, Fund Manager of the Year Awards and Emap’s Automotive Conference amongst others. He has given speeches for Halifax and e-Gain, and interviewed Terry Pratchett for World Book Day.
