Draft Minutes of the meeting of the Parish Council

Held on Thursday, 29th September 2016

Present Cllr. J.Boyes, Cllr Cleveland, Cllr. N. Theobald, Cllr C. Johnsen Cllr. G. Leeand Mr M Holt(BDC), Mr S Plumb (BDC), and Mr D Kemp (SCC)

01.09.16The Chairman welcomed those present to the meeting, opening business at 20.00 hours. Apologies were received from Cllr D Wilson.

02.09.16 Therewas no declarations of interest

03.09.16 There were no Applications for Dispensation.

04.09.16 All were in agreement to sign the minutes of 28th July2016, 1st September 2016 and 21st September 2016 as true records.

05.09.16 Public Forum.

  1. There were two comment from members of the public.
  2. Police Report. None.
  3. County Councillors Report. This was given and is available on Stanstead Village Website.
  4. District Councillors Report. Babergh District Council will probably be moving its main office to Endeavour House in Ipswich.

Quotation for 1500 + VAT was approved and work will start mid-November.

09.09.16Wi Fi for Community Centre has been installed successfully. Members to be given password

10.09.16Quote for Cutting of hedge and trees approved for £980

11.09.16Discussed arranging a special meeting to discuss the council’s finances andhow any proposed projects, including installing an electric winder for the tower clock. No decision yet

12.09.16New arrangements for Stanstead Parish Council website and it was agreed to carry on with website at a cost of £50 + VAT

13.09.16Discussed getting extended warranty for laptop and it was decided not to.

14.09.16Clerk Report. No new items

15.09.16Financial Matters:

  • Invoices/accounts for payment since the last meeting approved.
  • Receipts since last meeting wereapproved.
  • Statement of Account wereapproved.

16.09.16 Councillors were asked if there were any matter they wanted to discuss at the next meeting of the Parish Council and were reminded that the Clerk needs to be told at least four days before that meeting.
