“The Raven”
Bell 1: Paraphrasing
#3 Alexus Connelly
And the rustling of each silky curtain
Excited me- filled me with a lot of terror I never felt before;
So now, to calm down I stood up and kept saying
"It is just a visitor at my bedroom door-
It is just a visitor at my bedroom door-
That's all, nothing else."
#6 Jacob Swanner
Back into my room turning,my whole soul inside me was burning, soon again I heard the tapping.something louder than before."surely" I said "surely that is something at my windowpane;let me see, then, what damage is,and this thriller search-let my heart be still a moment, and this thriller search. It's the wind and nothing more.

The lonely bird sitting near the concrete bust. Knew only one word for he talked about all the time. Flew away . I was scared and talked all the time. The bird flew around and he flew away. Left with the word never more.mthe will leave tomorrow, I have lost all hope!
#11 Kenny Biser
Startled that the bird clearly said "never more"
No doubt that it only says that one word
Caught from an owner that treated it horribly
Escaped and flew away faster and faster
Until it sag the one word "never more"
#⃣12 Jacob Hayes
The raven was making him feel good about himself. He wheeled his chair over to see the bird. He sank into his chair of velvet and began to daydream. He was thinking about the spooky bird from the past and what this spooky bird of yesterday meant by saying that word.
#14 Briana Ott
Then I thought the air grew heavier, scented by an incense, by angels, whose feet decorated the feathered floor. "Scoundrel" I cried
" God has sent angels to make you forget Lenore, oh drink this drink and forget her." The raven then said,
" forget i
#17 Maggie Rohlfs
" this is us going away, bird or demon!" I yelled, standing up- " go back to the storm and the dark Greek lord's house! Don't leave any feathers as a gift that will lie with me! Leave me alone!- stop messing with my bust and go away!" The raven said " never more "

#1 Kayla Feld, Carly Tolbert
One night near midnight I thought carefully. I thought about a lot of weird or strange things that I had forgotten about. As I was sitting there almost asleep, I heard a knock at the door. It sounded like a person tapping on the outside. I said to myself "it is just a visitor that's all."
#3 Travis Diggs
And the moving of the curtains thrilled me, it filled me with feeling I have never felt before. Still, to the beating of my heart I said,"There is a visitor at my door, a late visitor at my door."
#4 Robert Harrison
Recently my soul has been growing stronger; quickly I said, "Sir or madam you came so quietly came knocking on my door, then I faintly knew I heard you" Then I opened the door but there is only darkness on the other side of my door.
#5 Grace Crone
I stood there for a few minutes, staring into the dark in terror.
My mind raced, creating unfathomable nightmares.
The silence of the hall was heavy, and all was still.
I single word was uttered "Lenore!"
Moments after I'd spoken it a faint voice echoed me, "Lenore!"
The echo said this and only this.
#6 Lee Kermos
Back to the chamber, I went. My soul still burning I heard the tapping and knocking. "Surely" I said, "Surely that is just a noise at my window, the usual sounds".
#7 Molly Slavey
I threw the shutter open, then, the curtains moved quickly, flapping everywhere. A raven from long ago was sitting there. He did not have the least bit of respect, nor did he stop to stay. The bird rested above my bedroom door- Perched upon a bust of the God just above my door- Sat and rested, nothing more.
#8 Lilly Fisher
Then this black bird transformed my sad feelings into smiling. By the seriousness of the raven's face, "You are not a coward," I said, "You nasty thing, flying in from the night. Why are you out by the shore?" Quoting the raven, "Never more."
#9 Jacob Dick, Johnny Miller
We admired this awkward bird to hear the conversation so visibly, but gave away little meaning- small relevance. We cannot comfort agreement that living being was glorified by seeing a bird above the door- bird or beast on top of the sculpted bust above the door. With such name as never again.
#10 Kylie Pinson
The raven was sitting by himself on a quiet figure, and spoke a word, in which it had poured out his soul. He spoke nothing more; and didn't move a single muscle; until he said, in more than a murmur, "Other sidekicks off mine have gone away before; Tomorrow he'll say goodbye to me, just like all my hopes have gone away earlier than this." Then the bird said, nothing else.
#11 Haylee Woebkenberg and Hannah Nelson
The old man is sitting quietly thinking about what he has done, then the raven screams out l! He try's to think of possible explanations on why the bird just screamed nevermore, the man is now terrified of the raven. The screaming of nevermore gets louder and louder and louder! Then the old man thinks that raven had a horrible back story so that's why the bird says nevermore over and over again!
#12 Cristian Klaric & Kyli Stumpf
The Raven stood staring at me, as if he was mocking me with a smile.
I tried throwing it out with a seat cushion and it kept staring at me, continuing it's mockery, except this time it chimed, " Nevermore ".
#13 Ali Marshall
There I sat, participating in guessing, but no words showing, to this bird whose eyes of fire now burned the middle of my chest; while during this and more, I sat watching, with my head relaxing on the velvet cushion lining that held the lamp light, but whose violet velvet with the lamp shining, she shall press never more!
14# Vince Davenport and Kyle Barrett
Then, I thought, the atmosphere grew heavy, fragrance from an unrecognized container swung by angels whose sounds of a foot step on a decorative floor. "Rascal" I cried, "the lord has lend you by these angels he has sent you rest-rest and drug from the memories of Lenore! Drink, oh drink this kind drug, and forget this lost Lenore!" Said the raven,"not on your life."
#15 Anthony leichman Dj leach
I ask in a fierce voice is the bird if he is a bird or an devil. If athat if a storm was to come there will be an ashore, a very harmful man.If there was a deserted group of people are undaunted in an enchanted I said it so fiercely . Tell me truly I ask. Tell me, tell me I ask. The raven speaks back and says "Nevermore".

Messanger I said you are evil. Weather you are evil or a messanger from god tell me if I will be able to grab Lenore again. The raven said never more.
#17 Desirae Rogers and James Colbert
"Get away you bird or should I call you a demon" I yelled, getting more angry . Go back to the storm in Hades. Leave no feathers, no trace behind. Leave me alone I want to be by myself in peace. Get away from my door and stop giving me great pain. The Raven said "Never more".
#18 Sara McBride
The raven didn't fly away, sitting still, not moving. On the pale statue of Athena over my bedroom door; and his eyes have all the qualities of a demon that's dreaming; and the light from the lamp over him puts a shadow on the floor; and my soul from the shadow on the floor should be lifted- never!
Bell 3: Paraphrasing
#1 Taylor Mahan
One night at midnight, I was thinking, having no power and being tired, and while reading old stories, I was falling asleep, I heard a tapping on the door but the tapping was soft," I have a visitor" I said softly to myself..tapping on my door, only a visitor.
#2 Hudson Montgomery
I remember the December Lenore died easily, and each time I think of her it brings a new pain upon my heart. I wish for tomorrow to come, so my pain may ease a day sooner. I am oh, so sad for the loss of my dear Lenore. She was so beautiful, as pretty as an angel, no one may ever fill Lenore’s place.
#4 DUSTIN ROBINS
Now I am braver; I'm not hesitating anymore,"Sir" I said "or Madam, truly I beg you forgiveness; But the fact is I was sleeping, and so gently you came rapping, And so gently you came tapping- tapping at my bedroom door,I was not sure i heard you" - here I opened wide the door:-Darkness there, and nothing else.
#5 Madi Doan
I stood there looking at the darkness of the empty hallway. I wondered and dreamed things no one had dreamed before. It was silent with no movement whatsoever. The only thing I could hear was the whisper of "Lenore!" I repeated and echoed the word saying "Lenore". Nothing more after that.
#6 ANDY Combs & Marcus Flege
I closed the door turning back in the room, scared, I then heard a knock the sound was bigger than the first. "Yes", I said, "the noise is from the window; Let me see what is out there, and solve this riddle. Let my heart stop a second, and solve this riddle. It is the breeze, and nothing else.
#7 Tanner Perkins
I swung open my front window and in flew a raven. It landed and perched on the statue head of pallas and did nothing more.
#9 Caitlin Kemme
I wondered upon a strange bird speaking so simple, the response didn’t mean much with little importance; There is no doubt in our minds that no human being has been rewarded with seeing a bird on the bedroom door. Any feathered creature found upon this bedroom door, with such a name as "never more"
#10 Aiden Asbrock
The raven was sittin calmly on the statue, it said only one word, poured out its soul with that one word. It said nothing other than that one word even when he went to fly away. Still I said "other friends have flown before, tomorrow he will leave me, as I hoped." Then the bird said "Nevermore
#12 Shawnalynn Williams,Courtney Ward-
He's sad but at first he's entertained by the bird. He placed his chair right in front of the bird. Than he sunk into the softness of the chair. Threatening the bird with the past forbidding the threatening bird to taunt him with his past.
#13 Sam Sofio, Matt Ellison
He sat and thinking what this could be, but the fierce eyes of the raven were terrifying. As he said " it burned into my chest. As he sat thinking and reclining on the comfy velvet cushions, the he said "I can’t touch her anymore. Which means he
will never be with her again.
#14 Luke Riffle
I raged at the raven for it still consistently says never more to me. I beg for my beloved Lenore hating the raven for rapidly saying the words never more.
#15 Jackson Sease
The bird was a demon on my door as I wished it to leave and never to return. Though was it a prophet of god or devil? I yelled to tell me what it's message was but the bird sat and looked at me and said "never more".
#16 Buzz Carr
"Messenger" I said, "something devilish-maybe the devil it's self. Help god that is above us- the god we both love. Tell this soul with sorrow, to never mention Lanoer's name. A rare and bright maiden as Lenore" the raven said "never more".
#17 Kole Sand
Let that word end this conversation. Now go away. Go back to where you came from. Don't even leave a black feather behind. All your doing is telling me lies. Let me be lonely. Get away from me and stop making me feel pain. "Now just go!"

Bell 4: Paraphrasing
#1 Riley Phelps
On a lonely night when i was weak and tired, I was thinking
About many odd and curious strange tales.
Just as I was about to fall asleep I heard something knocking on my door
It startled me, but it must be someone who is just stopping by unexpectedly.
#2 Austin Murphy
It was December when she died. Every time I think about her it hurts. Everything reminds me of her, Lenore. She was as pretty and beautiful and nice as an angel.
# 5 Natalee Bish
I was gazing into the darkness for awhile. I was very confused. I had mixed emotions filled with fear. I was picturing very strange dreams in my head. There was no movement to be heard. All there was, was my light voice reverberating "Lenore!"
#6 Jamel Washington and Nate Burkhardt
Back into my room scared. Surely I thought I heard. maybe it was a little bird. I turned to my window to see what I thought it might be. It wasn’t a breeze. It was a dark raven who meant nothing to me.
#7 Michael Horobin: Here I threw open the shutter there and then with merely a flutter a raven came through my window. Only did he stand on the statue above my bedroom door. Nothing less, nothing more.
#8 Megan Raleigh
The raven was so enchanting, that it pulled me out of my glum state. All though the raven looked as if it was from an evil place. I continued to ask one question. As he answered it proved my insanity.
#9 Max Ernst & Brennan Ledford
I glared at the bird and heard conversation throughout the room. I found little meaning to this speech. I feel little significance to these answers. No, not a human, but a bird, as black as the night. Who sat upon my chamber door. For all the bird said was " never more."
#11 Kenny Kuhl™ and Rebecca Hensley
The Raven startled me by disrupting the silence. I say that the Raven is caught from an "Unhappy master" and is sad, and that the master taught him to say "Nevermore". I feel pity for the bird. The bird’s talking was so well spoken, that it startled me when it broke the silence. "I doubt that this is the only thing you can say" is what I replied, each time he said "Nevermore".
#12 Abbey Woodcock.
But the raven was still charming me out of my sadness, so I smiled. I wheeled my seat in front of the bird. Then sinking into my chair I began thinking what this bird meant in croaking "Nevermore."
#13 Hannah Barnett and Aydrian Simmons
This I sat busy with guessing, but no idea came to mind. To the fowl who's bright eyes burned into my chest; this and more I sat discovering, with my head falling at ease. On the cushion's velvet lining that the damp light made delightful. Lenore will never sit in a chair like this again.
#14 Anthony Campbell
The raven has put me in a rage chanting nevermore. I know it's about my dear Lenore.
#15 Carrie Baumiller
"Messgener" I said "Thing of evil Bird of Devil-
Whether the storm sent you or tossed you here-
Deserted yet you’re not discouraged on the desert land charmed-
In my house haunted by horror, Tell me! I'm begging you-
Is there anything to ease my sadness? Tell me! tell me! I beg
The Raven said "nevermore"
#17 Infinity doan
With that word (nevermore) go away you demon bird. go back to the stormy shores of hell. don't leave any feather behind as a symbol of the lies you were speaking leave to me - to my sadness stop sitting on the statue over my door. The bird replies, "nevermore".
#18 Andrea Leding .
And the raven gave no movement, he sat still at the top of my door. His eyes had an evil look and feeling. The light reflected his body on the floor. The raven takes away my soul, and the shadow will not be lifted (ever again) nevermore.

#1 Brianna Renner
At midnight, I heard an unusual sound while I was just about to sleep when instantly there was a tapping at my door. "It's just a visitor," I mumbled, "just knocking at the door and it isn't anyone else."
#2 chase and alyssa
I remember the dark days in December, the day it happened. The burning fire castes a shadow upon the floor. I was so sad, my books delayed the pain. I have these sad feeling because of the death of Lenore. She was a very perfect and amazing person sent from the angels above. She is no longer here now.
#3 Evan and Wilber
And with the uncertain rustling of each of them curtains filled me with terrors I've never felt before so that now to still my heart I stood constantly saying it is some visitor seeking entrance to my chambers.
#4 Kyle Girard
Soon I had become more brave with a hesitation. Hello? I am truly asking for their forgiveness for I had done. I hope they see I simply taking a nap when they had come up and was knocking on my door. As soon as they had knocked I heart sank. But when I opened the door, nothing but darkness was before me.
#5 Mallory and Jermaine
One dark night a man stood in silence thinking about things other people would never think. Everything stayed silent and unchanged. Yet the only words the man heard was, "Lenore!" The man kept whispering her name. He only said, "Lenore!", but nothing more.
