SOME THINGS MARY CHOSE

Luke 10:38-42 (KJV)
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

I)  SHE CHOSE THE SAVIOUR.

A)  THIS IS SALVATION.

Ø  John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

B)  THIS IS SINS FORGIVEN.

Ø  Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

C)  THIS IS SATISFACTION.

II) SHE CHOSE THE SCRIPTURE.

A)  THE SCRIPTURE WILL STRENGTHEN YOU.

B)  THE SCRIPTURE WILL SETTLE YOU.

C)  THE SCRIPTURE WILL SEPARATE YOU.

III)  SHE CHOSE SECURITY

Ø  vs. 42b ...which shall not be taken away from her.

A)  THIS IS LIFE.

B)  THIS IS LOVE.

C)  THIS IS LIVING.

IV)  SHE CHOSE TO SURRENDER.

Ø  vs. 39 c ...and heard his word.

A)  THIS IS HUMILITY------AT JESUS FEET.

B)  THIS IS FAITHFULNESS.

C)  THIS IS GIVING OUR ALL---TIME, TALENT, TITHE.
