Minutes of the Planning Committee for Long Melford Parish Council held at the Library, Long Melford at 6.45p.m. on Tuesday 19th November 2013

1.Apologies for absence

In the absence of the Committee Chair it was resolved that the Council Chairman should assume chairmanship of the meeting.

Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs M Brabner, H Spear and J Watts.

2.Declarations of Interest or Hospitality

No Members declared any pecuniary or personal interests in matters on the agenda.

3.To Approve the Minutes of the Meeting Held 15th October 2013

The meeting approved the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 15thOctober 2013.

4.To Adjourn the Meeting for a Public Forum Related to Matters on the Agenda

There were no members of the public present.

6.Applications for Consideration:

To comment on the following applications:-

a)Application No. B/13/01120/FHA – 1 Borley Road –Erection of single-storey rear extension– No objection.

b)Application No. B/13/01090/FHA – Cadmus, High Street -Erection of side and rear extensions together with new carport, following part demolition of garage– No objection.

c)Application No. B/13/01201/OFDW – The Old Foundry, Hall Street – Notification under Part 3 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Amendment) (England) Order 2013 – Change of use from Class B1(a) (offices) to Class C3 (dwelling house). In light of the previous application No. B/13/00954/FDW the Committee noted later on the agenda that this application had been withdrawn.

d)Application No. B/13/01174/LBC – Swags and Bows, Hall Street – Application for Listed Building Consent – Erection of pitched roof extension to existing single-storey rear flat-roof element; part blocking up of 2 no. windows and 1 no. door, insertion of 1 no. pair of French doors and 1 no. window, and application of external timber cladding to rear elevation of existing single-storey rear flat-roof element; and internal; alternations– No objection.

e)Application No. B/13/01144/TCA – Bramertons, Little St Mary’s – Remove conifier trees. The Committee later on the agenda that this application had been granted.
