Community News Briefs
VEHICLE BREAK-INS
At April’s Community Meeting, it was brought to the attention of the board that there had been several recent break-ins of vehicles. Please take precautions by ensuring no valuables are left in your cars and that cars are always locked. The board is seeking additional assistance from the Fairfax police and is reviewing the ARC guidelines related to exterior lighting. Should you experience any crime, please file a report with the police department. You may file a report of certain non-violent crimes, including vandalism and larceny/theft from vehicles online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/reportcrime
WOODLYNNE GOVERNANCE
Your board of directors is undertaking an initiative to rewrite the governing documents for the WoodLynne Homeowners Association. The governing documents for our community were written when WoodLynne was built (1977-1980) and have not been revised or updated since that time. The board feels this is an appropriate time to review the documents and bring them into compliance with current Virginia laws and statues governing homeowners associations.
We are looking for at least 5 homeowners, including one board member, to volunteer to work on this initiative in collaboration with our management company, Cardinal Management Group, and our attorneys. A vote by the homeowners will be called at a community meeting to have the membership ratify any recommended changes. Please contact David Crone at Cardinal Management at or through the website at www.woodlynnehoa.com if you are interested in participating on this project.
WOODLYNNE WEBSITE
Thanks to our neighbor, Chris Lee, the WoodLynne Community website www.woodlynnehoa.com is the source for all information related to our community. The website has all the ARC forms and guidelines, announcements, meeting minutes, the community calendar and many more features. Chris is one of the many volunteer homeowners that keep WoodLynne running for the benefit of all!
