Course Description: The 2-D foundations curriculum provides a broadening and
deepening studio experience providing firsthand knowledge
needed for students to find their strengths. Developing
problem solving and creative thinking skills are important
aspects of the foundations curriculum. Examples of the
media explored are drawing, painting, printmaking and
computer generated art. Lab fee for this class is $5.

· Utilize appropriate technology
· Respond critically to works in the arts and humanities
Student Requirements: Devote time outside of class to complete projects

Pay $5 supply fee
Attendance: Class attendance is required. Learning is an active
process, and it is impossible for you to participate and
benefit from demonstrations and presentations if you are not in class. If you must be absent, first contact a classmate for any notes.

Late Work Policy: There will be a 1-day grace period after the due date to
allow for any unforeseen problems. No assignments will be accepted after that time.
Academic Integrity Policy: Academic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, the
following examples of conduct:
· When a student misrepresents his/her own work;
· Consenting to have one’s work used by another student as his/her own;
· Plagiarizing on papers and other assignments;
· Unlawful duplication of copyright materials;
· Interfering in harmful way with another student’s work; for example, sabotaging another student’s lab work or entering or deleting data in another student’s computer work.
In all cases, a student found guilty of academic dishonesty will receive a minimum grade of “F” on the project, test or paper involved and may receive a grade of “F” for the course.
