He married Sarah J Hyer 09 Jul 1881 in Adams Co, Wisconsin, daughter of Johannes Heyer and Sunneva Aarvoll. She was born 1856 in Wisconsin, and died 25 Oct 1942.

Feb 2002: We received a copy of Henry Jay Stanley Taklo's birth certificate with the names of Paul Taklo and Sarah Hyer.
Also, we received a copy of the ledger from Hennepin Co, Minnesota with the birth dates of the other children. The problem is, that not all the children were named when the ledger was done. We have guessed that Paul, Louise, and Gertie were born on the dates shown.
Jan 2006: Received an email from Sigvor Bjørkedal Øvregård in Norway. "My mothers name is Margit Hjørdis Bjørkedal. She was born Margit Hjørdis Taklo at Taklo, Nordfjordeid, and your ancestor Paul P. Taklo was the brother of her grandfather."
July 2006: Paul's birth and death information was updated per Sigvor Bjørkedal Øvregård via email from Norway.
Sept 2006: Doris Janke-Bissell emailed with information on the family. "Great-Grandpa Paul & Great-Grandma Sarah Taklo's birth years & that Sarah is from Wisconsin. & Paul came over from Norway "
1910 United States Federal Census Record
Paul Taklo age 59; Sarah Taklo age 54; Paul T.B. Taklo age 27; Sara N. Taklo 25; Louisa Taklo age 20; Venny Taklo age 17; Myrtle Taklo age 14; and Stella Taklo age 12. Their home at that time was in Mpls Ward 13, HennepinCounty, Mn.
Sept 2006: From Doris Janke-Bissell - her question "Also: on the 1910 U.S. Federal Census Record I found a Venny J. Taklo born in 1893 in Norway with his father's name being Paul Taklo & mother's name Sarah J. Hyer that is my Great-Grandparents & Venny wasn't shown on the family names on your chart. But there was a name I never seen before til' now of "Gertie Taklo" born May 2, 1890 Now why is there these two names I have never seen before coming up now? And not when Grandma was alive I don't remember either name being mentioned at all!"
Sept 2006: Received a letter from Robert (Gene) Taklo. It contains a paper with the information information written Jan 29, 1973. I added their marriage year.

Jan 2011: Received email from Gloria Getman. "Sigrid was the daughter of Sonneva and Hans Larson. That's what in the confirmation records of the TrinityLutheranChurch - Arkdale, WI."
Jan 2011: Sigrid must have changed her name to Sarah.
I have pictures of John Hyer's tombstone, the note has that he is her father. So there is a question.
Sept 2006: Received a letter from Robert (Gene) Taklo. It contains a paper with the information information written Jan 29, 1973. This letter contains birth and death information for Sarah and her middle initial.
May 2007: From Doris Bissell "Great Grandma Sarah J. Hyer's name was spelled Hyre in the Wisconsin 1880 census she was single at the time working as a domestic servant but the one with her parents John & Susan that same year's census has her also listed on theirs but born the same year of 1856 which matches the year which we have on the family tree info and she & Great Grandpa Taklo were married in 1881 and I believe he lived in Wisconsin for a time or just had gotten to Wisconsin at that time period from Norway; And they were married shortly after the census was taken Anyways, I haven't found any military records for her father Corporal John Hyer because I wasn't looking under the spelling Hyer"
