Christmas Lunch: Arrangements for Christmas lunch in the canteen today are as follows:

  • S2 go to canteen at 12:20 for lunch - this will allow time for those who wish to go home to change for the S2 party to do so.
  • S1 go to canteen at 12:30 for lunch.
  • S3,S4, S5 & S6 go to canteen at normal time 12:50.
  • Staff go to canteen from 1:00 - hopefully by then the queues will have reduced significantly and prevent canteen staff from being overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

Body Shop at Home: Final Call for sheets to be returned! Please bring sheets and money back by Thursday and return them to Mr McGuire in B55 or to the office. If the sheet isn’t complete, please still bring it in. All that would happen is that 50% of what you bring goes directly to the school and the body shop prize for that sheet will be of the value of the other 50%.Every penny counts! Remember that all returned sheets (completed or not) guarantees you entry into the pupil prize draw where products are up for grabs! (CMcG)

S3/S4 Rugby Training: Will definitely be on this Wednesday prior to next weeks match against McLarenHigh School. Training is at Morriston OR the small games hall if weather is bad. See Rugby notice board for details on Wednesday. A good turn out is important. (PK)

France Trip Hoodies: Could the following pupils come & see Miss Newbould by Friday (14th) if they do want a hoodie for the trip? Otherwise, I will presume that you don’t want one & order the others!

Elgin Amateur Dramatic Society presents Jack & The Beanstalk: 12th-15th December at 7:30pm. Matinee performance Saturday 15th December at 2:30pm. Tickets available from Beaver Travel – Adults £10, Child/Concession £8.00. A few ElginAcademy pupils are taking part in the performance.

Warhammer Club: Warhammer Club is now Wednesday, Thursday and Friday lunchtimes in room B45. New members welcome. (CY)

Tempest Photographs: There are still individual and family photographs in the office which have not yet been issued as there is no pupil name on the order form. If any pupil has not yet received their photograph, please come along to the office to collect at interval, lunchtime or after school. Please do not come during registration time. Thank you.

Festive Zumba Charity Event: Tuesday 18December with local instructors. 6:15 for a 6:30pm start for an hour at the town hall in Elgin. Adults £5, Children £1. All proceeds go to the Moray Friends of Archie charity. Feel free to come along in festive fancy dress.

Badminton – Crombie League: Can all players who entered the Crombie League event please attend a meeting on Thursday 13November at interval in the PE department. It is essential that all players attend so we can organise teams for the first day of competition. If you are unable to attend you must let Mr Scott know ASAP. Thanks. (KS)

S1 Badminton Tournament: Two senior pupils (Daniel Sim and Caitlin Little) are holding a badminton tournament exclusively for S1 pupils. It will be held after school on Thursday 20December, and will run from 3.30-4.30pm (approx.). From beginners to more experienced players, all are welcome! There will be a Christmas prize for the winner of the competition! All players give their name to the PE Department by this Friday 14December. See you all there! (Daniel Sim and Caitlin Little, S5)
