Easter Message

Our message on Easter this year will lay the Easter story beside the Aslan story in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This is a wonderful children’s fairy tale written by CS Lewis in 1950. Focus on the Family also produced a magical audio version of it which can be found if you search on You Tube for “The CHRONICLES of NARNIA Audio Drama.” We would encourage you to read it over the next 2 weeks in preparation for this message. Parents may even want to read it to their children. This is not only a great story it packs a powerful spiritual message.

THE TOMAS ARE COMING ON APRIL 24

Well it looks like our Iraqi Refugee family of six is really coming this time. We are in negotiations for a house on Fitzroy Street. Also looking for some spare bikes please let us know. Please pray that all will go well with the final preparations that they would find a God-blessed home on this Island.

PRAYER PICK OF THE WEEK

Paula Andrews

PRAYER OF ST FRANCIS

Lord, Make me an instrument of your peace;

Where there is hatred,let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light;

And where ther is sadness, joy.

O divine master,

Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

To be understood as to understand;

To be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
