Standard Attire

2017-2018

A. SHIRT: White, Green, Black, Gray, Navy, Purple (Must be a solid color)

Short or long sleeve solid color polo or Oxford type with collar buttoned to within 2 buttons from top

Logos, artwork, or embroidery must be less than 2” by 2”.

No denim material or denim type material is permitted.

B. UNDERSHIRT: White, Green, Black, Gray, Navy, Purple (Must be a solid color)

C. SWEATERS / SWEATSHIRTS/CARDIGANS/VESTS:

White, Green, Black, Gray, Navy, Purple (Must be a solid color)

Logos, artwork, or embroidery must be less than 2” by 2”.

Must be worn over collared standard attire - Shirt Collar must be visible.

No hoodies

D. PANTS / SHORTS / SKIRTS / OVERALLS: Khaki (Tan color), Navy or Black

Logos or labels must be less than 2” by 2”.

Skirts and shorts can only be 3 inches above the knee. (Includes the slit on skirts)

No knit or stretch materials. Must be dress pant, Docker style. (ex. No Jeggings, Joggers or Yoga pants)

No cargo pants or cargo pockets allowed

No baggy clothes SAGGING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. MISD One-size rule will be enforced.

No ripped or torn clothing; garments must be hemmed.

E. SHOES

Must have durable soles on shoes

No house shoes or flip-flops

F. BELTS are optional

Cannot have raised decorations including spikes, rivets, bottle caps, etc. on belts.

G. SPIRIT SHIRTS/COLLEGE SHIRTS: Only worn on Monday and Friday.

SJ, MHS, or any SJ or MHS organizational spirit shirt, OR college shirt may be worn only on Fridays. College Shirts may be worn on Mondays. Shirts must be worn with standard attire pants, skirts, shorts, overalls, or jumpers. Spirit shirts do not have to have a collar. No homemade spirit shirts or pants will be allowed.

H. HAIR AND ACCESSORIES

No hair color beyond the normal range of hair colors. All piercing restricted to ears ONLY.

“One-size rule” applies. (One size larger than actual measurement to allow for growth)

Coats, jackets, backpacks, and hooded items must be placed in student’s locker upon entering the building. SJ follows the Midland ISD dress code. Any clothing found to be disruptive to the learning environment by the campus administration will be addressed accordingly. Any item not specifically addressed will be left to the discretion of the building administrator.
