The Community of European Management Schools and International Companies (CEMS) is a strategic alliance of 17 leading European business schools and 48 corporate partners. This highlight event of the CEMS year is hosted each year by a member school and specifically designed to provide an opportunity for personal and professional networking.

The CEMS events, was also an opportunity for the alliance to welcome a new corporate partner, the Royal Bank of Scotland, one of the world's leading financial services providers.

This multinational heavyweight has joined the CEMS alliance recognising the need to recruit the best graduates with an international outlook. CEMS corporate partners (please see full list below) play an active role in the academic programme and have representatives on its governing body.

The alliance also welcomed three new corporate representatives to its executive board:

-Mr. Kai Kristian Ekholm, HR Director, Eurofirm, PricewaterhouseCoopers

-Mr. Christopher Hagman, Managing Director Global Sales & Services Operations, Reuters

-Mr. David Pappie, Global Attraction and Recruitment Manager, Shell

600 CEMS students and over 100 alumni gathered to take part in the Graduation Ceremony and Careers Fair. Each student had the possibility of pre-scheduled interviews with up to six of the alliance’s multinational members. This year’s Graduation Ceremony saw 305 new CEMS MIM graduates of 28 nationalities, with the first generation graduates from CEMS Associate member schools (see list below). At the Corporate Partner Benchmarking Meeting, participants debated a series of topics ranging from talent management in international organisations to establishing a qualified workforce in Asia.

CEMS is a strategic alliance of academic and corporate partners. After selection, students follow the CEMS curriculum to obtain the CEMS MIM, a pan-European standard of excellence in management education recognised throughout Europe. Central to the CEMS success is the fact that all partners contribute to the definition and the teaching of the curriculum as well as sharing other common activities including research.
