Program Description:
The American English (AE) E-Teacher Scholarship Program offers Egyptian English teaching professionals the opportunity to take university-level professional development courses through various university partners in the United States. The AE E-Teacher Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by FHI 360.
All AE E-Teacher courses use the latest in instructional technology to provide participants with an interactive distance-learning experience, and are designed to familiarize participating teachers with current methods and issues in the field of English as a Foreign Language.
The AE E-Teacher Program also connects participants with U.S. English language teaching experts and creates a professional network of international colleagues.

- Do you have an advanced level of reading and writing in English, roughly equivalent to a minimum TOEFL score of 525/iBT 70? (If you have a TOEFL score, please provide it.)

- Do you have regular access (4-5 times/week) to a reliable, up-to-date computer with high-speed internet connectivity?
- Do you have basic technology skills related to email, internet searches, downloads/uploads, logins/passwords, and e-file use (e.g., PDF, MS Word, Exceland some courses require access to real-time tools such as Skype)?
- Do you have the ability to type in English well enough to perform online tasks in real-time and submit written assignments in a timely?
- Do you have at least 8-10 hours per week to devote to the coursework?
- Are you a citizen of and reside in Egypt at the time of the course?
- Do you hold dual citizenship in the United States?
