In an effort to provide you with accurate information, help you plan for your children’s education, and to assist all North East schools with continued delivery of high quality learning opportunities, we are sending this letter home today.
Busing arrangements for students living in the Willowgrove area to Willowgrove School are still under discussion and will be finalized in the near future. Students residing outside of Willowgrove who choose to attend Willowgrove School will not receive busing to the new school. As well, families living in Willowgrove will no longer receive bus service to any other schools in the area (with the exception of French Immersion students).
Families living in Evergreen will have the choice of busing to three schools – Silverspring, Egnatoff, and Willowgrove. Once the new school in Evergreen is built in the next few years, transportation for Evergreen students will likely only be within area to the new school. This has not yet been finalized, but would fall in line with current practice.
Registration for Willowgrove School will open today, January 10th at 4pm. Forms are located on the Willowgrove School web page at the following address: All students planning on attending Willowgrove School must complete a registration form. There is a form for grades 1 – 8 and a separate form for Kindergarten. At the top of the Kindergarten form please indicate your preference of schedule. Your selection will not guarantee entrance into that program, but will help us with our planning. We will do our best to meet the needs of all families who register. Forms can be emailed directly to the Willowgrove office at or printed and dropped off at your current school.
We are also asking all families to complete the information below and email this form back to your current school by Friday, January 17, 2014. It will help with planning for enrolment projections, facilities, and staffing. Please include students registering for Kindergarten in the fall and grade 8 students moving to high school next year.
