RECRUITMENT TO THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE CLASS -- SCHOOL YEAR 2018/2019
I. Documents required for application:
1. The filled in application form (pages 2 and 3 of this information booklet)
2. A copy of your birth certificate
3. A photocopy, signed and stamped by the Head of School (dyrektor szkoły), of the certificate showing that you took your final junior school exams (kopia zaświadczenia o wynikach egzaminu gimnazjalnego).
4. A list of your grades and behavior grade at the end of the first semester of school year 2017/18, signed and stamped by your Head Teacher (Class Teacher for III LO in Gdynia students).
5. Documentary evidence of your achievements, interests and skills in and out of school in the current school year, e.g. subject Olympiads, achievements in sport, music, art etc., activities benefiting your local community and/or natural environment.

II. The deadline for applications is 1.00 p.m. on 7th April 2018 (Saturday). Applications not accompanied by the relevant documents (see above) will not be accepted.
III. The entrance placement tests for students from outside III LO in Gdynia will be held on April 11th 2018 (Wednesday) :
Mathematics: 8.00-9.15; English 9.30-10.30; Polish: 11.00 – 12.30
The interview in English will be held on 11th -13th April 2018 (Wed-Thursday)
The exact time and date of your interview will appear on the IB notice board on 10th April 2018.
Students from schools other than III LO can choose the date and time of their interview and indicate it on the application form (p.3).
IV. Results will be issued on 24th April 2018 (Tue) at noon.
V. There may be an additional qualifying procedure for those students who have been enrolled to the IB and want to take any of the group 4 HL subjects (biology, chemistry or physics).
VI. There will be a meeting with students who have been enrolled in the IB class and their parents/guardians on
18th May 2018 (Fri) at 6.00 p. m.
VII. On 7th April 2018 (Saturday – the School’s Open Day ) prospective candidates to the IB class and their parents/guardians, are invited to talk to the IB Coordinator and IB students – we shall be happy to answer any questions concerning the IB Programme at our school.
VIII. Filling in the application form.
1. Fill in the personal information
2.Choose one subject from EACH of the subject groups numbered 1to 5.
Attention: if you choose Environmental Systems and Societies, you do not need to choose an additional group 3 or group 4 subject.
3. For your 6th subject, you may choose Visual Arts OR another subject from Groups 2, 3 or 4.
4. AT LEAST THREE (possibly four) subjects must be taken at Higher Level
