COMPTON PARISH COUNCIL
HELD IN COMPTON VILLAGE HALL ON WEDNESDAY 18 MAY - 7.00pm

The meeting consisted of approximately 4 local residents plus the Chairman and Clerk and had been convened by the Chairman of Compton Parish Council, Councillor Fiona Curtis. The Clerk to the Parish Council agreed to take the Minutes.

Minutes of the above meeting were approved and the Chairman signed them as a true record.

9223Election of Chairman/Officers
The Clerk confirmed that the following had given notice of their intention to retire as Councillors of Compton Parish Council:
Cllr Martin J Foran & Cllr Carolyn Maslin
The Chairman was pleased to announce that James Parsons had been co-opted and agreed to serve on the Parish Council. Due to a minor error on the Election Nomination form, Kanak Patel had to be
re-co-opted and confirmed her willingness to serve on the Parish Council again. It was noted that the Council were one member short.
Cllr Curtis confirmed her agreement to stand as Chairman for a further year; nominations were received from - Cllr Williams (by letter of authority sent to the Clerk) and Cllr Haskins. Cllr Williams was nominated Deputy Chairman by Cllr Patel & Cllr Curtis. The Chairman welcomed Mr James Parsons to the Council who said he had been a resident in Compton for 2 years.
