Distribution manholes

Preliminary observations

Distribution manholes are water tight und preferable made of PE. Suitable shut-off devices in flow and return of each circuit or each probe shall be provided. For hydraulic compensation of the probe, qualified control equipment as well as filling and draining valves should be installed in the manholes.

During installation and backfilling of the manhole, static requirements has to be taken into consideration. Special requirements like traffic load or installation with soil water has to be considered during constructional dimensioning of the manhole and has to be enquired separately. Depending on load situation, further arrangements for transfer of loads or buoyancy protection have to be taken on site.

The manhole has to be backfilled and compressed in layers with non-binding filling material which fits the relevant standards. The filling material should be suitable for compaction, permeable, safe against sliding, frost-proof as well as free of spiky objects. The details of bedding according to the working sheets DVGW W 400-2 and ATV-A 127 as well as DIN EN 805 have to be taken into consideration. Superstructure and/or ascendancies through foundation load of buildings or similar should be ruled out. The corresponding distances of buildings or similar constructions has to be observed

ATV-A 139 Guideline for production of drainage canals and pipelines

Connection pipeline

The installation of the connection pipeline to the PKS-THERMPIPE® has to be done according to the known standards, especially according to DVGW working sheet W 400-2. All welding have to be done by qualified professional according to the known welding guidelines, e.g. DVS guideline 2207. The laying instructions of the producer have to be taken into consideration.

For connection of PKS-THERMPIPE®. Completely factory-assembled manhole made of PE 100 spiral pipe acc. to DIN 16961 for PKS-THERMPIPE®, produced with coextruded inspection friendly bright inner surface, lifting eyes and flat, under welded bottom made of PE.

Factory welded conical reducer 1070/1200 and telescopic height adjustable attachment piece, adjustable from 50 - 550mm, suitable for known BeGu covers.
