Model One test cell is primarily used for investigation of rapidly pulsed, mono-polarity, wide area DC electric fields. The test object could be a piece of metal on a cheap postal spring scale. Or a bowl of water. Or a magnet/electret combination. A compass, a burned out spiral CFL.
Ne-2 neon bulb. Only the negative terminal will glow on DC. Both will glow on AC. Use series resistor.
