2017“Certified Medical Billing Specialist” Prep
MedOffice Resources has joined in partnership with the Medical Association of Billers to provide this training and certification opportunity to local healthcare organizations.
The Medical Association of Billers (MAB) is an internationally recognized organization created in 1995 in Las Vegas, NV. Their mission is to support medical providers in medical coding, billing, collections and healthcare compliance. The organization offers certification in medical billing and coding. MedOffice Resources has received the MAB’s designation as an approved proctor site for the Certified Medical Billing specialist (CMBS) exam.
The “Certified Medical Billing Specialist Prep” is intended for individuals who are currently employed in a medical office, employed by a health insurance company or an independent billing center and would like to obtain certification designed to measure their competency in the skill sets associated with medical billing.
The certification is aimed at individuals who are motivated to improve their medical billing knowledge and develop new skills to assist providers in maximizing their reimbursement through proper coding and documentation.
This two day prep (16-hour) will provide attendees with a review of the processes associated with medical billing:
  • Legal Issues Associated with Medical Billing
  • Insurance Terminology, Medical Terminology
  • ICD-10 and CPT Coding
  • Medical Insurance Carriers and Plans
  • Medical Billing Process and Completion of Claim Forms
  • Claim Payment Process and Claim Resolution
A third session will be scheduled to include a 2 hour review. At the end of the 2 hour review, the attendee will sit for the Certified Medical Billing Specialist’s certification 2-hour exam.

Fee: $710 per attendee/Fee includes Training Materials, MAB membership fee($115) and MAB exam fee ($199).
