Is it just me or are those Hollywood Liberals making more noise lately about global warming, the environment, the war in Iraq, George W. Bush, smoking, gun control, animal rights, and support for dictators around the world? A recent survey concluded that about 98% of the entertainment industry and a large majority of the mainstream media are democratic liberals.

Are these people helping to make the world a better place or are they a bunch of blowhard gas guzzling hypocrites who think they can tell you how to live your life while they drive around in their limousines, fly around the world in private jets, and live in large mansions?

John Travolta, a Scientologist, recently stated that global warming is the biggest problem facing the world today and went on to declare, “I’m wondering if we need to think about living on other planets or dome cities. Everyone can do their bit, but I think it might be too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuel.” Okay, let’s take a closer look at what good ole John is doing to help mother Earth.

As you can tell by looking at Mr. Travolta’s modest little home above, that he is definitely doing his part to hold down the carbon emissions going into our atmosphere. He only has five private jets which he pilots himself and flies all over the world. Are you kidding me? The carbon dioxide emissions from just his planes alone are 100 times greater than that of the average person driving his or her car for a year.

Let’s take a look at another famous liberal, former Vice President Al Gore. He is not from Hollywood but he invented it. No, I’m sorry, that was the Internet he invented. Well, maybe not, but he does lecture world-wide on the topic of global warming, which he calls “the climate crisis.” In 2006, he starred in the academy award winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, discussing global warming and the environment. A lot of people think that Al Gore should run for President in 2008. I don’t share most of his political beliefs but I think he has a better chance to win then Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home. Gore’s mansion, 20-room, eight-bathroom, is located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year. The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill tops $1,350. Yes, Al Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.

Let’s hear what some of these Hollywood Liberals have to say:

“9/11 was Bush’s Fault” - Michael Moore

"Since when is offensive language a reason for being unpopular? I find the language of George W much more offensive." – Madonna

“Bush is a f**king idiot.” – Jennifer Aniston

"I know that's a harsh thing to say, perhaps, but I believe that what happened in 2000 did as much damage to the pillars of democracy as terrorists did to the pillars of commerce in New York City." – Alec Baldwin

"I don't like Bush. I don't trust him. I don't like his record. He's stupid. He's lazy." – Cher

"Charlton Heston announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer's." – George Clooney

"Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." – Dixie Chicks

"I would think that if you understood what Communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees, that we would someday become communists." – Jane Fonda

"If the United States marches into Iraq without the backing of the United Nations, that will be done entirely without the backing of the American people." – Richard Gere

"The death penalty is inhumane...whether that person is in a [jail] or it’s bin Laden." – Danny Glover

"The war against terrorism is terrorism. The whole thing is just bullsh*t." – Woody Harrelson

"Shoot him [Charlton Heston] --with a .44-caliber Bulldog." – Spike Lee

"I think that people like the Howard Sterns, the Bill O'Reillys and to a lesser degree the bin Ladens of the world are making a horrible contribution [to society]. I'd like to trade O'Reilly for bin Laden. [O'Reilly] is a grumpy, self-loathing joke." – Sean Penn

"Republican comes in the dictionary just after reptile and just above repugnant... I looked up Democrat. It's of the people, by the people, for the people." – Julia Roberts

"Before our kids start coming home from Iraq in body bags and women and children start dying in Baghdad, I need to know, what did Iraq do to us?" – Susan Sarandon

Sheen declared of President Clinton: "I think he was probably the brightest President of the 20th century." and "George W Bush is like a bad comic working the crowd, a moron, if you'll pardon the expression." – Martin Sheen

"We cannot let the right wing roll back more than thirty years of social progress." – Barbra Streisand

"We have a president for whom English is a second language. He's like 'We have to get rid of dictators,' but he's pretty much one himself." – Robin Williams

As you can see, our President is not getting much love from these celebrities. It is a good thing that we have freedom of speech in America. In most countries around the world, if you badmouthed your leader, you would be arrested and put in jail or shot. Michael Moore is the worst of the lot – in addition to bashing President Bush and America, he has voiced support for the terrorists killing our troops. I’m really surprised he is still walking the streets of our great nation. Taking the theme from Jennifer Aniston, Michael Moore’s name instead of Bush would be much more appropriate.

Yes, the pampered Hollywood Liberals have a lot of things to say and for some strange reason they think the rest of the world agrees with them. I have a lot of friends who are democrats and a few of these are quite liberal. I don’t see anything wrong with independent thinking and having your own views on politics and other social issues. What I don’t like is these Hollywood Liberals using their access to mass communication channels to preach their liberal ideas to the rest of us. The fact is, most of there “stars” have little to no particular expertise, education, or experience in the areas in which they become “spokespersons.”

A recent Gallup poll showed that only 20% of the US population describes them selves a liberal and 40% describes them selves as conservative. The other 40% think they are a little of each. So why are so many celebrities opting for the liberal viewpoint? With only 20% of the general US population, how could 98% of the entertainment industry be so loudly supporting liberal causes? I don’t know how to say this nicely, but a lot of people in Hollywood are a little strange, weird, queer, eccentric, or on some kind of drug. They earn a huge amount of money without doing much work and live in their own fantasy world. In many cases, this type of individual is drawn to liberal/socialistic/communistic thoughts.

Everybody in Hollywood is not a liberal. There are a few exceptions, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston, Clint Eastwood and Tom Selleck, who are all Republicans.

So don’t be fooled, tricked, or manipulated by these Hollywood Liberals. Listen to all sides of the issues, do your own research, do your own thinking, and come up with your own conclusions. You are much smarter than most of these so-called celebrities.
