Department of Homeland Security Launches “Listo” Campaign for Spanish-speaking Americans and Residents

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with The Advertising Council and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, recently launched the Listo campaign, a national public service advertising (PSA) campaign that is designed to educate and empower Spanish-speaking Americans and residents to prepare for and respond to potential terrorist attacks. Listo is the Spanish-language version of Homeland Security's Ready Campaign.

TMSARM Vulnerability Self Assessment Tool

To protect and expertly manage the Nation's transportation systems, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) must fully understand those risks specific to the National Transportation System. Threats must be analyzed and assessed using an integrated approach across transportation modes. The TSA Threat Assessment and Risk Management Program uses a risk-based decision process to focus its strategies across the different transportation modes under TSA responsibility. The TRAVEL tool is used in a comprehensive TSA-led, facilitated, on-site, assessment of a transportation asset. TSA plans to conduct vulnerability assessments using the TRAVEL tool at those transportation assets determined to be nationally critical.

TSA intends to develop TSARM modules specific to transportation modes. TSA has deployed one self-assessment module in support of targeted maritime vessel and facility categories. See:

Team Member SecuraComm Selected to Provide Assessment and Infrastructure Hardening Consulting Services to RTC in Reno, Nevada

Palisades Team member SecuraComm, Inc. ( was recently selected to provide assessment and infrastructure hardening consulting services to the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County, Nevada. RTC serves the citizens of Reno and Sparks along with unincorporated areas of WashoeCounty. Ron Heil will serve as the project manager for the first task and Andrew Ondich will be the project manager for subsequent phases of the project involving design and specification. SecuraComm’s Principal Consultant and Palisades Team Leader for Infrastructure Hardening, Ron Libengood, leads the effort.
