Accomodation

Several hotels are close to the meeting location, one of which may be the most convenient one, because it is just opposite from the station, at which the trains arrive from the international airport Zurich (Switzerland). The meeting location is 15 minutes walking distance far or 2 bus stations (any bus in front of the hotel going North can be taken), which is a 3 minutes drive. The details of this hotel are:

Contact person is Mrs. Mandy KINDEL, Reservation Department.

Under the booking code "ISO WG8" you may benefit from the special rate of 121 EUR for a single room and 136 EUR for 2 persons in a double room. The rate includes breakfast. Parking fees for a car are reasonable. Internet access is provided by an external provider, but is also available under reasonable costs, as the paid internet time (either via pre-payment at the reception desk or via credit card) can be stopped and re-activated arbitrarily, like in the AFNOR facilities at the WG8 meetings in Paris in 2006).

Unfortunately, you have to decide very fast, whether you wish to take this offer. If so, you have to book until the 16th of May. It has been before the 9th, but at the kind exceptional offer from Mrs. Kindel the reservation period was prolonged to the 16th.

You will receive more information in the next few days.

Invitation for a dinner evening

Delegates and accompanied persons are kindly invited for a dinner, possibly combined with a ferry tour to a scenic town at the Bodensee on the evening of the 1st WG8 meeting day, i.e. the 27th of June 2007. Further details will follow.

Transportations

Konstanz can best be reached via plane arriving either at Zurich International Airport (Switzerland) or via Stuttgart (Germany). From Zurich Airport there is a direct train to Konstanz, which takes about 60 minutes and is operated every half an hour. Also Stuttgart Airport would be possible, however the train connection from Stuttgart to Konstanz is not convenient. To use a rental car, however, would be fine, because the car drive also takes only an hour from Stuttgart Airport to Konstanz.
